Gentlemen–

As I mentioned in a previous post, I played tournament chess for about 8-9 years. One of the most controversial issues in this area is whether to do away with women’s tournaments and women’s titles. Currently, there are distinctions between a grandmaster (GM) and a woman grandmaster (WGM) title. Same goes for the lesser titles as well.

The rating requirement for the women’s versions of the title is roughly 5-10% lower than for the regular titles. Note that regular titles without the “W” designation are unisex titles.

IOW, the women’s titles are “dumbed down”…

Here’s an article from an international chess news website written by a female chessplayer who has cut back on her tournament play because of her “career” as a (SJW feminist) lawyer. (Real reason: she’s in her late 20s and hitting The Wall™ with her tournament results):

Her argument (which has been made by other female chessplayers) is that since chess doesn’t require physical prowess, women can compete on the same level as men. And yet, in 2017, they still have separate titles and tournaments for women.

Gee, I wonder why…

What makes this article so entertaining is that, while she has yet to hit The Wall™ regarding her appearance, this is the only reason that she’s getting any real attention at all.

The best part is that at least half of the comments at the end of the article call her out on her bulls~~~. Of course, there are the inevitable white knights who come to her defense.

Give her 5 more years and she’ll be living with her cats.

I read “Women’s Chests”. Was disappointed.

But they have the same thing with darts. Men start at 501 and go to 0, women start at 301 and go to 0, yet the demand they’re taken as serious as the men. Lol.

Top 100 players in the world, maybe 2 women there. I see no feminists talking about chess, ever.

Still, I am pretty strong player but i know women grandmaster elo 2200 that can kick my ass in chess, while i will mix in some draws and rare win.

But with regular male GM elo 2600 i can go home before even starting the match.

They should unify chess titles ofcourse, womenyz are empowered and liberated now.

But I actually agree with the article on the point of eliminating the women’s titles and tournaments. They want to be “equal” then get rid of the special treatment.

Then the women will be forced to compete with the men ALL THE TIME, and this ridiculous debate will be settled once and for all.

It’s just like this crap about women being smarter than men. I know that’s been discussed ad nauseaum on these boards, so I won’t go into that. I think Turd Flinging Monkey did a video on that anyway so you can search his channel if you’re interested.

Who is “they”? No one is stopping women from setting up their own tournaments and calling it anything they want. Ever setup a major tournament of any kind? Takes a lot of work. No one is stopping them. Why should a man set up tournaments for women? That’s a lot of work.

I call bulls~~~. There is absolutely no reason to segregate chess by gender, color or religion. Just doing so suggests that one is dumber than the other. This a mind game. The field is level. Not some football game where small men and woman should avoid it.

I feel the same way about movies, games and other events. Be the change you want to see in the world. Start your own movie company instead of bitching and nagging that there aren’t any leading roles for women in Dunkirk. I’ll be the first to admit that the broad that wrote this article would probably clean my clock without rags 99% of the time. But of course, she’s been playing since like age 10 whereas I started playing seriously when I was 42.

But she’ll hit the wall soon, just like the two women who dominated the US Women’s Championship between 2007-2015, who are now both falling off the cliff. Last couple of years the youngsters are invading and wiping them out. And by youngsters I mean school-age and college-age girls…

But, go ahead and get rid of the stupid women’s titles and tournaments. Like I said, this will shut up the likes of this author once-for-all. The two women I mentioned in the previous paragraph played for the national title with the men in 2010. One of them dropped out due to “health reasons” (no further explanation was given) and the other didn’t finish that well…

“They” are the US Chess Federation and FIDE (Interational Chess Federation). It’s very simple why they do this…MONEY. If you look at most of the chess news websites, they tend to show a LOT of pix with chess cheesecake (a la Melekhina, the author of this article.)

We all know sex sells. If it weren’t for that, the professional chess world would get next to NO mainstream attention. Who wants to cover (much less sponsor!) a bunch of nerdy middle-aged males staring at a tabletop for hours? Then these “federations” would die off and these clowns would have to get REAL jobs.

The jokers that run these federations are crooked, corrupt globalist libtards who are on par with Washington in their antics. The current guy in charge of FIDE is dictator over a small banana republic and uses money from the treasury for FIDE.

It’s really amazing stuff…

If the problem is that women aren’t happy with the current setup, then it’s very unlike there is a setup that will make them happy.

I have no doubt that women will find a way to claim that management treats them unfairly, or that the rules and regulations put women at a disadvantage somehow.

Ok. Then do it.
