The thing I always found odd about tattoos is they really got popular when I was in high school, but even by the age of 18 I was smart enough to realize how many other fads I had already seen come and go. All the guys were going out getting tribal armbands…a couple years later tribal arm bands were already out of style, cliche, and the sign of a tool…just like all the girls who ran out and got tramp stamps.

Sooner or later the tattoo fad is going to blow over and a bunch of middle aged and older people with hideously faded, stretched, and wrinkled tattoos are going to be regretting what they did when they were younger. At least some hair dye, piercings, clothing, or stuff like that is easy to remove or will just heal up or go away with time…but tats…gonna cost a lot of money to get rid of em.

I think a certain % of people would have gotten tats even if they weren’t trendy and don’t care if they go out of style…but I also think over the last couple decades the majority of the people who have gotten them are just trying to be trendy and end up looking like idiots. I’ll never forget the look on a dudes face I knew when he got some Asian letters on his leg, and when I asked what it spelled, he said his name. I said you sure it doesn’t spell “F~~~~~” and he just looked at me like oh f~~~…I really don’t know what this means.

I wonder how many Asians are walking around like this…

(probably not as many as stupid Americans with Asian letters that don’t say what they think lol)

Perhaps not with tattoos, but I’ve seen plenty of nonsensical English phrases and even “words” cobbled together from the Latin alphabet on hats, t-shirts, and other clothing from Malaysia to Taiwan to Japan to South Korea. One of my favorites was a hooded sweatshirt I spotted in Taipei with an odd coat of arms surrounded by the phrase “New Jersey Baseball College”.

Internet access has most certainly cut down on the use faux-English in Asian countries, but I’m equally certain that plenty of examples of “All your base belong to us” still exist.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Well then they’re all bad since that all I see here in FL at the beach. Tatted up living art pieces in all their mostly obese, bikini wearing glory.

Be professional be polite but always have a plan to kill everyone you meet.

I recall one that got in the newspapers a few years ago. Whilst on holiday abroad, a dozy bitch went to a local tattoo parlour and got a tattoo in chinese. She thought it said ‘eternal love’ or suchlike.

A chinese speaker later explained that it actually said ‘fat sweaty cow’.
