To go on strike you actually have to work no gossip not go on mat leave multiple times in canada you get like 12 months if you work at a bank I have women in my department with 5 years seniority working here 5 but mat leave for 3 they know nothing cause after probation they get knocked up and leave…… the rest are weak low numbers etc

I didn’t know that there was a woman’s strike on Feb 6. I went through that whole day and wasn’t even aware of it. Realistically, women have been on strike from their role in society for 40 or 50 years. It’d be newsworthy if they started showing up for that role, instead of trying to exchange it for ours…

The logical outcome is that a small percentage of these women will get fired for not showing up. I’d say maybe 20% of the employers will support these women. 20% of employers will be indifferent. The rest will be realizing that made a mistake in hiring the woman to begin with. Either the woman had no impact on the business and is useless overhead, or she did have an impact, and the business is now depending on someone who is not dependable.

I can’t imagine anyone not directly impact by the strike will have a positive impression on it, since there has not been a reason for the strike identified.

In all scenarios though, there is no positive for the woman involved. Except that she gets a day off to be with friends and artificially feel good about herself.

Oh no, now instead of women not doing their jobs while at work, now they’ll not be doing their jobs out in the streets. Or more likely, behind their tumblr profile. Truth is, women are contributing less and less to the world and to society so I wouldn’t notice a difference.
