Yep, you guessed it, sexism means that women are “forced” to pay more.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2018/03/29/pink-tax-women-pay-more/417648002/

If taken at face value this begs the question. Do companies charge more because they are selling to women based on sexist ideas, or are they marking up the price because of consumer behavior (i.e. they know women will generally and willingly pay more than men)?

Either way this is a manufactured problem that shows that feminists create problems where there aren’t any.

Some of their products cost more to make as they have different ingredients, and may have required the company to do more testing for safety than for men. Plus they sure dont seem to mind all the products they can buy, that there is no male equivalent products for, like tampons, lipsticks, purses, bras, skirts, and all the other women-specific adornments they have to browse through.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Tell me how any woman is forced to buy 30 pairs of shoes. Or 40 purses. Or dozens of boots. Or so much jewelry it is literally piling up on top of dressers and furniture. Or cabinets full of porcelain collectibles. Or mountains of expensive clothes. How are they forced to buy way more than they need?

One of the points in the first article is that the extensive cost of marketing to women hikes the price of womens products.

If they weren’t so easily swayed by marketing campaigns then they wouldn’t have to pay as much for products.

They’ll use the guise of inequality and demand the price of womens products be lowered. They will not listen to any logic or reasoning.

Honestly this is one of those fake news things the media is renowned for. It took Trump to actually get that into the average person’s consciousness, intelligent people have known about media and sales propaganda for ages and that’s why intelligent people have always watched less TV and thought differently than the herd.

Are women en masse complaining? No, not really. Is this female writer trying to make this a hill to make a stand and make a name for herself? You bet. Are those “women’s groups” manufacturing issues to justify all the money they suck from their donors and taxpayers? Of course.

The average woman is quite stupid and easily manipulated, but even this is a bit too much to expect to work. They try this every few years or so. It hasn’t caught on the previous 20-30 times I’ve seen it. Feminists always just keep hammering things, they are persistent really, until it finally does work. Maybe this will work too one day, but the payoff is likely only for the feminists in charge, and as usual average women will be the dupes.

I heard this crap 25 years ago, and I had a cousin who was a lesbian dash this myth to bits.

First, a lot of the same stuff marketed to both sexes, or just men, is also marketed for women at a higher price. She pointed out that she didn’t pay more for shampoo because she used the same brand that I did (Suave) at the time.

“Using a brand sold ‘for men’ isn’t going make your boobs shrink or make your ovaries turn into b~~~~ !”

Second, there are lots of things that women spend money on that men simply do not. Spas, facials (she used to make perverted jokes about that) pedicures, etc.

“What little of that I ever do, I do at home for much less or next to nothing.”

Third, don’t be a sucker for marketing. Even pens end up being marketed “for women”, colored pink and the price increased.

Dye it pink or some “girly” color and charge more ? Women are suckers for this !

As you might be able to surmise, she had a big role in “Red Pilling” me over 30 years ago ! As she would say after a few beers:

“F~~~ this s~~~. I’d rather hang out with the (construction / demo) crew (she worked with). At least those guys are honest, women can be such lying, sneaky and stupid bitches !”

Another thread covered diamonds and other crap that is way overpriced. The Diamond Industry is terrified because the newest synthetic diamonds are difficult to tell apart from “natural” without special lab tests to tell them apart.

Women pay more because the seller perceives them to be stupid. As they do so willingly, that assumption is obviously correct.

There is no “pink tax”. Taxes are created by governments, so saying that there is a “pink tax” implies there is a secret government tax on women’s products. That does not exist.

Women pay more because companies spend more money advertising women’s products. Ever notice how there are a ton of magazines geared specifically towards women? Well, those magazines are full of ads advertising women’s products, and even the magazines that aren’t geared towards a specific gender will always have more ads for women’s products than men’s. Why? Because women consume more than men. It’s really that simple. Most men really don’t give a f~~~ if the store is out of the shampoo that they usually use. They’ll just buy something else and go on their way. Women are much more concerned about what brands of products they buy. More expensive brands spend more on advertising. They raise the cost of their products to cover the advertising costs, and companies making women’s products spend more money on advertising. This really doesn’t take a genius to figure out.

When a woman gets her first job, she pays the social security tax, just like a man, and at the same rate. This separate tax system is isolated from the income tax, and goes to fund the government-run retirement program that she, and he start to collect from beginning at age 65. But since the average age of survival for women is about 79-80 years, and the average age for men is something like 73 years, women collect about double from that fund compared to what men collect from it, since women live double the number of years beyond the age of 65.

So as a man, you earn money that you never receive, that is taken from you as soon as you earn it by the federal government (by force if necessary), and given to women. This continues for your entire wage earning life, and continues for several more years EVEN AFTER YOU DIE.

I’ve never seen a word of this mentioned in any mass media press. Everyone knows ago the tax. And everyone knows about the survival rates. But no one ever talks about it. The sense of entitlement to men’s money is so ingrained that they don’t even see it even as it occurs. I have shocked several avowed feminists into silence by pointing this out to them. They had no argument, no answer, no response. It had never even occurred to them that this is mathematically indefensible under any definition of ‘equality’.

My mom would cry about this stuff too. She would buy mens products when it wasn’t a big deal.

I would always respond. It costs more because women will pay more.

She’s sometimes go to the subject of mens tool prices. I would respond. Most of the time men will pay a premium for quality of product.

Women will overwhelmingly pay huge markups. For clothes with holes in them. As long as some popular name is sown onto it.

You, a relatively shrewd consumer. Can’t compete with that level of dumb. From your sisters.

That usually ended my mom complaining about this same topic.

It is not a tax. Period
At worst it could be called a “pink premium” for a majority of frivolous (read unnecessary and/or useless) products.
As much as women like to bitch about pricing, they still demonstrate their acceptance and willingness to pay this “premium” by continuing to buy s~~~ at exorbitant prices. Contrary to MSM/feminist propaganda it is not sexism, discrimination, nor even greed. It is purely the stupidity of the target consumer.
Seriously,if pink razors are less expensive than blue razors or vice versa, guess which ones I buy. If someone has an issue with the razors I buy, that’s their issue not mine.
Also trying to compare the pricing of “feminine hygiene/beauty” products to what a man needs (soap and water), is a red herring.
They just have to be the “victims” of everything, except their own blatant stupidity.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
