I would have never have thought of it, but my girlfriend has effectively made paper a weapon against me.

She just does not throw away free magazines, newspapers, pamplets, envelopes, junk mail, letters, receipts etc.

I am not living with her at the moment, but each time I visit her the biggest problem in my life becomes how to clean the apartment with paper everywhere.

I am earning average wage working 3 hours a day. A woman had me working 9 hours a day so she could f~~~ an array of Chads. My standard of living is much increased. No permission to spend money . Exactly, I don’t need much to live, don’t need to travel the world, eat on restaurants every night, have 10 thousand things on my house.
The best thing that I have in life is silence and time with myself for doing what I want, that usually something simple, like listening to music, working out, doing some experiments with electronics, etc…

I remember watching this documentary and thinking “those c~~~s just f~~~ed up all things”

I dislike how all the people become wild amimals on black friday shopping videos. At least that is not that huge thing here in eastern Europe. Most of us are also poor on black friday.

And big financial s~~~ can happen, when the sheeple people buy the latest best most expensive stuff on bank loans. They just don’t know their limits.

And, nowadays, I’m looking at cheap small apartments for sale by auction, to buy on cash, no mortgage.

Some people are so bad with finances and life decisions, and take so big risks, that they lose their homes.

Some idiots cannot distinguish between assets and liabilities, and have a negative worth financially.

It only would take for example just a lost job to f~~~ up these people’s life in a minute. Stupid people build their life as a house of cards or some dominos, one bad s~~~ triggers the next one:

1. as the job is lost, he will lose girlfriend or wife almost immediately. (being together in good and bad times does not mean dog s~~~ any more)
1b. Maybe a jail time (one phone call, in an argument about money)

2. He loses home and stuff bought on credit, because he cannot pay for the mortgage and credit any more. (and stupids buy bigger home and more bulls~~~ stuff than they can afford)

3. He loses a lot of money through divorce, probably some alimony and child support.
3b. Maybe jail time, if he cannot pay the alimony or child support.

4. If he got jail time, no one would hire him any more, he has a record in the police database. So, his life is f~~~ed up and cannot be restarted again. As far as I know no one hires those who have been to jail, am I right?

I took a tip from Old Sage, when he was around. He claimed that it was good for your ribs and back to just sleep on the floor. I started sleeping on the floor about 6 months ago. It sucked at first, now I wouldn’t have it any other way. I realize, there is no need for a big fancy bed, awesome one less thing.

I’ve been sleeping on the floor for 6 years: I wouldn’t have it any other way either ! One less BIG thing to worry about if you gotta move.

One anecdote if you feel like reading it. It still happens that when I’m half awake and roll over to one side, I wake up all panicky thinking I’m gonna fall off the bed, even though I can’t. It’s just so ingrained in the brain, it’s crazy. lol

Anyway, minimalism’s awesome. I was thinking of starting a thread on voluntary simplicity, but it’s kinda moot now.

Glad I’m not the only one who enjoys a simple, inwardly rich life.

Ever since I downsized from the riverside apartment I rented to impress cupcake…to the room in someone elses house I LOVE IT.

Every weekend I take another bin bag of stuff to the charity shop.

My space is my own again. Not filled with photos, kitchen utensils, furniture and ’embellishments’.

I have one lamp, one pillow, one plate, one bowl, one mug.

You get the idea. <3
