A man’s identity is closely tied to what he does. Destroying his hobbies and leisure activities ruins his identity, and destroys friendships with his pals. Some have an initial reaction of, really, thats it?
But if you were married and had thise hobbies taken away, would would see there importance.

A man having hobbies makes a woman cross -her resource is not fully available to her.
Naturally she will see hobbies as her enemy. Unless she is having an affair, then a hobby can help distract him.
If she starts telling you to go and have your fun, you can be fairly sure she is having some of her own and likely as not that is a ride on some c~~~ as riding c~~~ buys you a lot of attention for doing something you enjoy anyway.

A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

I took up making stained glass windows for a hobby. I had a nice work space in the garage, and I was doing repairs to church windows and antique house windows. I was on the verge of breaking even. The ex started bitching about time spent on something that didn’t benefit her.

In the divorce, she decided to keep all my stained glass tools and supplies as some sort of spite move. I told her to keep all my things, I did not take anything back after I was removed.

Yes. Spot on Video. I can personally attest to this information. Before I got married I was extremely into my hobbies, after I got married the wife insisted that I sell off my stuff, stop spending any and all money on it. The money spending stopped but I resisted selling any of my things.

The marriage went South and she started to insist that I give up seeing my friends, and kept tracking where I was.
I ended up divorcing her, got my hobbies and independence back. I don’t ever want to travel down relationship road again; it leads to utter financial ruin and misery and isolation.

First they do everything in their power to ruin your hobbies and interests that are not centered on them. Then you focus solely on being a father, a family man, and convince yourself that giving up your interests somehow made sense (martyr). Then she strips you of your family, your children.

Hobbies take: Time, Resources/Cash, and Attention AWAY from the lil Cupcake.

A few months back when I began working with a young Man, he was talking to me about a hobby he shares with a couple of his buddies. It’s a rather expensive and time consuming hobby, and in the next breath he mentioned his “fiancee”. I replied that if he wants to keep his hobby that he better lose the fiancee. He said it was too late for that as he was getting married in a few weeks, and it was okay because she supported his hobby, and actually wanted to him to buy more equipment after they were married.

Well, the newlywed has been married a few months, and I told him that I stumbled across some of the reasonably priced equipment that he was talking about purchasing a few moths ago.

Guess what ? He’s singing a different song now, saying that he can continue to just use his friends equipment blah, blah, blah.

I wonder what happened a few short months that made him change his mind ?????

The next thing he’ll be telling me is that he no longer participates in it because HE LOST INTEREST IN IT, or some other rationalization that he will tell himself and others when WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH !!!!
