Women can come nowhere near the musical genius that men have displayed over the centuries. Even amazing female singers are singing material crafted by men.

This song kicks so much ass it ain’t even funny. Not to mention Vai pretty much makes love to his guitar while playing, which I’m sure would disgust any feminist.

Another genius by the name of Jason Becker, alongside his best friend Marty Friedman.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

I have to agree. Female composers arnt as common as male composers and men are the ones that usually become the greatest composers. There are plenty of female performers, but art of composition is not in most of their skill sets. And yes, Steve Vai is an insanely good guitarist. Did you know he once practiced guitar 10 hours everyday?

Yeah I have heard about his legendary practice marathons. The guy wants to play things with absolutely perfect technique.

On top of wanting to play things with absolutely perfect techniques. He was/is into practicing various aspects of his musicianship consistently everyday. I think he would do an hour of practicing his sight reading, an hour of scales, an hour of improvisation, and hour of composition, etc. It takes some serious discipline. I play between 2 – 4 hours a day on most days of the week. I can’t imagine doing 10.

I wish I had that kind of discipline.

Do you play guitar? There aren’t many non-guitar Vai fans.

I’ve tried to stick with it but usually lose interest.
