The divorce business is huge now and layers are making GAZZILlIONS off of it. Just think what would happen if a plurality of men stopped marrying. First there would be a huge decrease in the divorce rate because of less marriages and second, most women would not dare divorce knowing their chances of getting another man would be almost zero. Most divorce/marriage lawyers would be out of business, so I’d say they have a huge interest too in banning male sex toys/robots.

Also, on the economic incentive, you are absolutely right. When you have no choice you will work, because you have to support the wife and/or the kids. Otherwise, many will chose easier jobs or part time work.
