I have recently read that if men were sentenced the same as women for the same crime the amount of incarcerated men would drop by 2/3.

At least. The sheer volume of women who are let off with a mere warning and don’t even enter the judicial system is staggering and uncountable without access to law enforcement systems. You would basically need to do a nationwide search of local dispatch records for “routine” stops and hope they note that a verbal warning was issued (I’ve heard some don’t).
