Hey Grumpy, that was the first car I ever drove on the open road when I was 14 and my father had been drinking, we called that car “the fat back” the front would make it through but the back wouldn’t, the car was always getting the back sideswiped right where it bulged out and got fat, hence the “FAT BACK” (not to be confused with FLAT BLACK)…

Those cars bring back a lot of good memories.
IIRC is the USA you would call the colours either Rifle Green or Chrome Green Metallic.
I had the paint job custom done at a reform schools automotive shop (alumni discount lol), the rear fender inserts stayed in the trunk, (as well a deer/moose, or 6 friends and a few cases of beer at the drive in).

I can appreciate a “fat back” on a solid car though.

Back on topic though.
Being hit by one of these monsters would seriously put a crimp in an otherwise good day 🙂
