UAE is a funny country. I lived and worked there in 2003-2004 and there were some amazing pubs to get s~~~faced in. You just don’t walk home drunk or get in a taxi with a scheming Indian cabbie who will drive you to the nearest police station. I preferred to drink at the hotel bar surrounded by Russian and Chinese prostitutes, oops I mean secretaries. It’s kinda a backwards country but forging ahead. Then again I saw many Arab men 3 sheets to the wind at the trough with their kaftans over their heads taking a p~~~ before stumbling out for another round.
