I believe the court only gave her such a sentence because she got pregnant from the kid. Otherwise they would have just let it pass.

And of course, if anyone even thinks she will serve the entire 20 years in prison, you’re nuts.

She will probably sue the boys family for maintenance (although not in a rape case, this has actually happened). She may even sue him when he eventually starts earning.

Yes. But not until he turns 18, at which point they will hand him a huge bill for accumulated support. Then it will be his turn to go to jail.
