A red pilled friend of mine told me that The WOZ is a fantasy story about a girl entering womanhood.
To become NAWALT, Dorothy needed to acquire 1) a brain; 2) a heart; 3) courage.

As we all know, it would actually take magic to produce a NAWALT…LOL…Pure Fantasy !

If it’s a story about Dorothy becoming a woman. Why are the characters that are acquiring those traits all men….?

But from what I remember the tin man (heart), lion (courage), and scarecrow (brain) were trying to acquire the traits for themselves… unless they did represent Male role models in her life shaping her through experience. Eg father, preacher, teacher…. to just reveal she had them all along but to encourage and nurture them….

Or is it trying to imply men aren’t full when they are lacking those traits….

And why is the road yellow? Is that just a convenient color for the songs… or is there more meaning to it?

Guess there are many ways to view this…. may have to rewatch.

Definitely interested in other thoughts on this.

Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.

To me, Courage was the most interesting aspect.
Women are cowards, and they only act bravely when backed-up by :
    The Hive
    White Knights
    Blue-Pilled Pussy Beggars
    Daddy Government

How brave is it to throw rocks from behind your protectors ??

But knowing (brain) they aren’t a match physically… with the protection is the only way to do it. Course as women turn on more and more protectors there are less of them…. then itll get interesting. If the first response from a 911 call center is asking the woman if she overreacted…. may see progress. And as women call more than men, would solve some of the wait time problems experienced by real incidents.

Only consistent time courage is really seen from a woman is when she is protecting her offspring. Is when maternal stuff kicks in and that’s more of a biological imperative… save the kid today so the kid can save her later.

Makes you wonder about the parents that treat their kids like s~~~ then expect to be taken care of in old age.

Course in this golden age of tech with everything shared there are a lot of people living in glass houses that are just a few small stones from being ruined. Best not to cast the first one as when they start to go down expect lots of collateral.

Hope that someday I may lead others the path I have learned. As Virgil led Dante through Hell.

As others stated, Dorothy didn’t acquire these traits, it was the men who needed them. You could make the argument that Dorothy already had these traits but didn’t realize it. In meeting the men who lacked these traits, she discovered the ‘strength’ that was already there. I don’t remember a ton of the movie, but in meeting the lion, this was definitely the case. The lion tried to scare her at first, and she was scared. But then she stood her ground and realized the lion was no threat at all, and become nothing when stood up to. You could say that this is a woman realizing that man had no power or control over her.

The other side of this is the 3 men needed Dorothy’s help in order to find what they lacked and be complete. Men need woman. Sort of anyone, because they all believe that they needed the Wizard to get what they needed. I’d say the Wizard represents the government. But then the Wizard, the government, was a farce. It had no real power and really couldn’t help you any more than you could help yourself (not a very liberal sentiment).

So by the end of the story, she learned that she didn’t need men, they needed hear…and government wasn’t going to save her either. It was all on her and she was capable of solving the problems ahead of her. So in that regard, sure, it’s a woman’s coming of age story, that she can overcome her problems. And I think that’s fine. The only problem I’d have is the illusion that men are dependent on her. All 3 characters really would have no problem going to the wizard themselves. And if I remember correctly, they didn’t really need the wizard themselves anyway.

From a MGTOW perspective, what’s the lesson? I’d say follow what Toto does. the dog generally didn’t give a damn.

    Ok. Then do it.

I had always thought that it was a movie about a teenager’s first acid trip…

Dorothy and three men. . .

    Wandering on a road together

And the story was obviously changed so it could be released as a movie.

The Scarecrow, Lion and Tin Man we’re all looking for three things:

Sounds like the original concept of the movie leaned towards there being a triple penetration scene at some point.

Who knew? In elementary school art class we as little kids were given raw asbestos to mix with water and we molded it to make face masks…

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.

If you’ll notice, the 3 characters’ actors all played normal people Dorothy knew in Kansas. So your role model theory is valid.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

Thats funny because all the males in the story actually do acquire the brain, heart, and courage. Shes just along for the ride.

How a woman acquires a brain, heart and courage, is when she snags a man. Hes got all three, shes all done.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Its just a fun coming of age story. Dorothy has to deal to with Grown Up life now. Remember the movie starts with her Dog Toto biting the wicked old witch. Toto is going to have to be put down. Dorothy runs away to escape her problems…However, she ultimately must confront the Old Witch in her dreamland of OZ.

The rest of the Characters show that the qualities they thought they lacked. Brain, Heart and Courage were actually right there all along. It just needed to be awakened by “The Call to Adventure.”

There are lots of other little red pills in there too. Like not to trust Con Men. In the Book, the Wizard makes all the people wear green shaded glasses to convince them that the City is made of Emeralds and other Cons he pulls. Very amusing take on the modern Politician admitting “Yes, I am a humbug.” Lol.

And why is the road yellow? Is that just a convenient color for the songs… or is there more meaning to it?

Yes, if you want to find the little (((trickster))) pulling the strings…You follow the money. Back when this book was written Gold was money and it was stored in Yellow Bricks (bullion). Therefore to find the Wizard they must “Follow the Yellow Brick Road.”

When they get there, they discover the “Wizard” is not really a wizard at all. He is just a Cheap Fortune Telling Con Man. A smooth talker, who could sell peanuts to those with no teeth. He hides behind a fake projection used to manipulate people through “Shock & Awe” a technique used all down through the ages and continues to be used to devastating effectiveness.

I really do love this film. Its a great piece of art and adapts the book to the screen very well.

A story in which one man is not enough. She needs three. Is this how women think? What “men” do I have to rely on, instead of what “man” do I have to rely on? It would be smart strategy for a dependent subspecies and would explain why women so often need “orbitor” males around to fill the gap between what she perceives she needs and what she has.
