Verbal argument has one verbal use in the realm of power: To distract and cover your tracks when you are practicing deception or are caught in a lie.

When caught in a lie the more emotional and certain you appear, the less likely it seems that you are lying.

The see saw. Up and down go the arguers, getting nowhere fast. Get off the seesaw and show them your meaning without kicking or pushing. Leave them at the top and let gravity bring them gently to the ground.

I give this a heads-up. This is very good material right here…and probably something they’d never teach you in college.
That is always how I handle an argument. ‘see-saw’ing up and down will only get you so far. Most people hear only what they want to hear; they see only what they want to see… they interrupt you at every sentence (meaning they weren’t paying any attention to anything you were saying). I prefer active listening (one-way listening) and then putting arguments later .. rather than the debate-style (get-set-roar type).

And just do things youre one way.
