It’s Mothers day this Sunday in UK, I think it is on different days elsewhere but most places have them.
Is it just an over sentimental comercialised money fest for the florists, chocolate, gifts industry?
Research from UK has shown that men spend 42% more than wiminz on mothers day gifts. No surprises there, then. When it comes to putting money where their mouths are wiminz are notably weak.
“Long is the way and hard, that out of Hell leads up to light.”
Of course, women talk and bitch all the time, but dont act on it.
Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day….it’s all just a waste of money.
you know what ? F~~~ ALL their “days”.
who started this sentimental garbage anyway ?
i’m no longer participating in all the special days for women .
“mom” can have a phone call or a card some other time.
I AM THE GIFT ! not the chocolate or flowers .f~~~ that.
my presence is my gift.
give ME some free stuff and we’ll talk .every girl thinks she should be honored on mother’s day whether she has a kid or not. I remember people asking me what i was doing for mother’s day for my ex-wife and this was before we had kids. My response “I’m doing something for my mother. My wife can do something for hers”. Idiot’s out there think it’s wife’s day. it ain’t.
Last father’s day, my dyke, radical feminist sister posted “happy father’s day to all the single mom’s out there” on facebook. This mother’s day, I’m going to honor all the single dads out there who are doing both jobs.
I bathe in the tears of single moms.

This is kind of unrelated, but colleges and universities are starting to learn the downside of that rising 2/3 : 1/3 female to male enrollment.
Female graduates do not donate to alumni funds in anything like the numbers male graduates do. Sure the schools are making money hand over fist from female student debt right now, but they are setting themselves up for hard failure when the higher “education” bubble bursts.
What I find interesting is that more daughters bought their mums a gift on Mother’s Day, but the sons spend roughly ten more pounds on average than the daughters do. It’s almost as though the daughters are attempting to show that they care, while the sons who do care will go the extra mile and buy something a bit nicer.
