I think another part of going our own way and shrugging off the expectations of society is turning our back on participating in warfare, especially given most wars are economically based and seldom benefit the soldiers whatsoever, especially in modern times. In the distant past we might have been able to acquire land, titles, or something else of tangible value, now it’s just tax money stolen from someone else.

Get your legs blown off, get a hero’s welcome when you return home, be paraded around to make politicians look like they give a f~~~ and then disappear into nothingness, forgotten by your country and treated like s~~~ by the government that was more than happy to send you off to die like a dog in the first place.

Actually I would join, currently I’m a member of a paramilitary defence organization of my country and I really do enjoy this s~~~. Would I will be willing to shoot/kill armed men, women, children, elders? Of course, I don’t discriminate. If s~~~ hits the fan here with Russia, I’m all in.

As a vet, it is hard for me to recommend Military service right now. Now more than ever the kids who serve are just numbers, fodder for political advantage. After you are wrecked, retired, or discharged, you are lower than a welfare recipient. The promises made are not honored, or given as if you had not earned them. I made a bet with my government, I bet that I would survive 20 years of service, doing dirty, disabling work, and I won the bet. Now they act like the guy who won’t pay off after losing the bet. They strip the benefits from you without so much as a thought, and hand the money over to people who refuse to work, or are illegally in our country. We die while they live happily ever after. Maybe it is time for a house cleaning

If we had another war we would all be good little Nazi’s and join up or give our son’s lives away.

Look how we die so women in Iraq don’t have to wear the Burka’s, which, by the way, they love wearing. Our son’s are dying because any woman anywhere might be miffed that any woman anywhere is “uncomfortable”, even with no proof they feel this way.

So that Chris Brown can beat Rhianna one more time and collect a Grammy in front of thousands of adoring female fans a couple of weeks later?

@ Keymaster…absolutely not indeed….I often wonder how hard the men in WW2 would have fought if they could see the s~~~ show the world would turn in to a mere 50 years later…as for today, imho, the enemy is already here among us…they have f~~~ed our schools, the economy, the political system,  the family and  everything they come in contact with. I would not fight in the “war”. I have no hope in humanity left, those who are smart and knew of incoming war should buy a cave somewhere and hold up till the nuke stop falling. I wouldn’t fight soldiers, who were thrown to die by the government and society, well maybe female soldiers, but I would easily kill anyone trying to take my s~~~. if some smart arse in one country decides to invade another with the political goal of making father’s the main carers of their children and making divorcee’s pay back the money guys have had to pay in divorce settlement and to hand the house back and enforcing criminal sanctions against women who have made false allegations of rape, they may find the invading armies numbers increasing as the guys switch sides.

governments need to be really careful where they are going with this persecution of men.
