Hi blokes. Let’s talk about religion again.

Back in the 2000s, atheism was generally associated with the Bush-bashing left. Nowadays, plenty of YouTube atheists have come out as anti-feminists. A lot of people are confused by this.

Am I confused by this? Hell no. All of this makes perfect sense because religious fundies and misandrists make the exact same arguments. They have the same argument style. The similarities between these two groups are uncanny.

If you talk to a Christian fundie, he will usually talk to you in the most smug tone imaginable. “Don’t you know that they’ve found chariot wheels at the bottom of the red sea? Come on! You should know that! You’re smart.” Misandrists use the exact same tone when they say “Whatever … Dick. Don’t talk to me again until you lose your virginity, little manbaby!”

If you keep talking to them and expect them to speak professionally, they do the exact opposite. “YOU’RE GOING TO HELL!!!” sounds exactly like “IT REALLY GETS ME OFF WHEN YOU MAKE UP STORIES LIKE THIS!!!”

“Atheists need to leave America.” sounds exactly like “Men need to be put in some kind of camp!”

Both groups think “ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME IS A RAPIST!” Both groups want to enslave men and demonize male sexuality. Both groups think that unmarried men are “literal feces”. Both groups think that pornography is a form of rape. Both groups will burst into tears when anger doesn’t work. “I’m crying! That means I am right! Agree with me or I’ll call the f~~~ing cops on you!” Both groups are trying to destroy science and history. One group thinks that science is a product of godless liberals. The other thinks that science comes from white imperialists. Both label their opponents as “neckbearded bronies with Asperger’s”. Both groups want to scare you into silence rather than calmly debating you. When that doesn’t work, they’ll try to pull at your heartstrings.

“You’ll never get laid unless you agree with me!” sounds like “You’ll never get to Heaven unless you agree with me!” Fundies want men to be slaves to the church. Misandrists want men to be slaves to women. Both groups want us to be content with a simplistic existence that only a retard would enjoy. “You’ll enjoy letting a woman boss you around.” sounds like “You’ll be happier if you turn your brain off and accept Christ!” “Think of all the children who are dying of cancer!” sounds like “Think of all the women who are being abused!”

Another Thing: These radfems are f~~~ing creepy when they’re happy. Everyone hates them when they’re angry … but being around a happy radfem isn’t a pleasant experience. They always look like they are about to explode. Fundies are the same way. They never look calm or laid back. Their happiness looks like a façade, which hides explosive anger.

This is the real reason why so many new atheists are taking the p~~~ out of man-hating bigots. They are exactly like religious fundies in terms of personality and argument style.

Protip: Don’t listen to people who try to scare you or pull your heartstrings. If you don’t know who to trust, trust people who speak calmly. They are often boring, but they are usually trustworthy.

I think making wide ranging generalizations about groups is a risky venture. Nor do I see the same equivalency between Misandrists and Christians. Misandrists are defined as a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against men. I can’t think of a single Christian who would buy into that? Especially since Christian faith is based upon a Patriarchy. Thus your equivalency argument in that respect seems illogical on its face. People who hate men are the same as a Faith that exalts men/males?

Sorry no more wine for this table…

Radfems are mockable based on their illogical arguments and bizarre behavior. Religion and Atheism not a factor. Gravity works for everyone and praying or swearing to god never stopped a hard fall.

It might be a reaction to the feminists in 2012 who created Atheism Plus to try to commandeer atheism for feminist goals. Atheism is merely no belief in any deity or deities — that’s all it is. However, people try to drag in other irrelevant social issues into it like abortion, illegal immigrants, etc. Those social issues have absolutely nothing to do with a lack of belief in any deity or deities.

Badger raises an excellent point which goes to the issue of blanket generalities…and what a minefield that can be. I think the mistake arises from the fact that most folks on the left (socialists/communists et al) are of course Atheists. As a result there “seems” to be a linkage between left with dogma and atheism. But of course the fallacy would be an assertion that all Atheists must be left-wing kooks and that is plainly not the case. RE: THX 1138 is an Atheist but he is NOT some left-wing Kook. I gather he is a libertarian, I gather Uintatherium is also a Libertarian and you are also not some left-wing dogmatist. I’ve read your post for some time and they are usually well reasoned and very thoughtful/provoking.

So All communists are Atheists but not all Atheists are communists or buy into left wing dogma. Right on Badger!

I think it’s because atheists are largely able to think for themselves/ outside the box. Many people, even today identify as religious. That usually comes with a certain point of view and most tradcons are religious.

Atheists have “gone their own way” in their own sort of way, they said f~~~ this religion bulls~~~ and started doing their own thing. So if they’ve come to that conclusion where they don’t blindly believe what they’re told when it comes to religion, then they will also probably start scrutinizing everything else. They will make up their own mind about what they’ve been told and what they’ve actually seen for themselves.

I’m an atheist, but I mean no offense to any religious people on here. There are plenty of kind religious people out there.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

    Correlation does not imply causation.

The argument is as valid as tall people more likely to vote republican.

How does height have anything to do with voting choice? But people would like to force everything in their box to justify their own ideology with their “Research”.

There is no magic in MGTOW, just recognition of the truth and logical decision how to avoid dangers. The red pill is but the truth, it is no magical potion. Do not think in this modern world men have no longer have natural enemies, men are prey to women and government.

When it comes to Communists it was pretty interesting to see how they fought God and any deities creating in idols from their own leaders like Lenin or Jughashvili (Stalin) in the same time.

Because their reactions are so funny and immature. Because they mix atheism with regressive ideology and want to make the two one and the same thing. Because they want to equate being atheist to being anti-religion (except islam, of course!). Because they are in the same bed with radical muslims.

And this is coming from an atheist who occasionally does some Internet trolling for leisure.
