Read more about Leo and you will see how much of an actor he is. He was anti-social as a teenager and was forced to take socializing classes so he wouldnt come off as a weirdo. This pretty boy role was specifically to build his brand; he hated being a sex symbol for young women.

Was this topic brought up because Bill Paxton just died? Timing seems too coincidental to me. I remember watching Titanic and despite the fact he didn’t even show up that much he was my favourite in the whole movie. I don’t even know why, he just was. Anyway in regards to your question I think women love movies like Titanic is because it reinforces their honest belief that they can have the rich beta and poor but hot alpha all at once, and have both basically worship the ground she walks on. Look at what happened. Jack died to save her and Cal went basically crazy trying to keep her. One man died and the other ruined and she gets away with a priceless diamond and marries some other poor schlub a few years later. The only difference is most women would have sold that diamond the second they had the chance, not tossed it in the ocean 80 years later.
