Rome, Sparta, USA, British, Japs, Germans,Vikings…etc.

    Seems like its inevitable.

Is it the hard asses get wiped from the gene pool cos they died fighting and the dull & sick got to transfer their genes more.

Is it because the strong are not equipped mentally to rule in peace time eg Churchill.

Is it the strong once they eliminated all threats give in to decadence.

There has to be a rational explanation.

    Theories?

Societies don’t collapse because their strong members are eliminated. They collapse because their best and brightest walk away in disgust. Take Rome’s struggle against the Hated Horrible Huns for example. It turns out there were a hell of a lot of former Romans among the Huns, because being a Hun was more fun.

I think its a combination. As Seneca observed, “Progress” tends to minister to luxury and vice and leads to degradation of character. (if everything comes to easy, you become decadent ) As was noted in “Collapse” by Jared Diamond, societies become more complex overtime as they solve problems until either the problems become unsolvable or something clogs the machinery (black swan event). The more complex a system, the greater at risk of catastrophic collapse.

And as things turn to crap, and the strongest are no longer truly appreciated or understood (a few country songs notwithstanding), and society is disgusting (think 31 genders and identifying as zebras and elves) they will leave for happier hunting grounds (e.g. Romans leaving for the Huns – birds of a feather flock together). When a tipping point is reach, bye-bye civilization.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.

Read JD Unwin’s book, “Sex and Culture”. It outlines more than 80 different cultures that were patriarchal in their development and ascendency, then became matriarchal at their apex and inevitable decline/disappearance.

It’s fun to reference this masterpiece when you run in to one of those “The Future is Female” idiots.

Except it’s not really “bye bye civilization” so much as it’s bye bye to that civilization. Which has usually stopped qualifying as civilized even though its trappings of civilization might continue coasting in neutral for a few decades or generations. Other civilizations keep chugging right along. To take another example from Rome, the North African Vandals were far more civilized than the Western Roman Empire even as they were sacking it.

Yeah I don’t believe in a dramatic end really. S~~~ happens, fades away…new s~~~ happens.

No one generation is anything really unique IMO.

My understanding is that by the time the Spartans went into decline, there were very few proper Spartan men (of the elite warrior caste) left – they didn’t keep up the program and relied on their helots too much (who of course screwed around with the wives when the men were at war – or should I say, the wives screwed around with them). The Spartan culture had a massive emphasis on not becoming decadent but that’s what happened.

    Like Rome, like us.

    (1) War. Two world wars ruined Europe.

It is often said that ‘Britain died on the Somme’, and it’s true. In the First World War, an entire generation of the finest young men was completely destroyed.

    Bolshevism also killed 200m Russians.

    (2) The Welfare State. Decent men penalised, whilst the genetic dregs are encouraged to breed as fast as possible.

    (3) Modern medicine. Natural selection bypassed, so as (2).

    (4) Socialism. The feminisation of Western society – real men penalised whilst manginas breed.

    thanks for the book tip.

His thesis sounds interesting, and is hardly PC in this day and age! Very old fashioned (but an obvious fact at face value).

You can read the book free here.

Probably because the ratio of “strong” and “weak” is not proportional, and the “weak” are actually the huge majority, as well the interpretation of the terminology being subjective at all times.
Once the hard work is done, those who did not put in the effort or sacrifice move in and take the rewards of those efforts through a sense of entitlement, collective “rights”, deceit, and legislation.

I look at it this way.
If I build a house/home for my “family”, and then become unable to defend and maintain that house, and my family then refuses or is incapable of taking up that mantle of responsibility. It is only a matter of time before a larger “family” moves in and takes it over. It is not a matter of strength, but more a matter of numbers. A stronger “family” would build its own house/home.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

Overcoming adversity makes you strong, living without it makes you weak.

One of the random graphics on the right says it perfectly:

    Strong men create good times
    Good times create weak men
    Weak men create hard times
    Hard times create strong men

The strong become weak because they all eventually spread their resources too widely due to imperialism. Rome, Germany, Britain, U.S.A. … U.S. right now has bases all around the world, f~~~ing waste of money in my opinion, ditto on these never-ending wars costing Trillions that are clearly only making things worse.

That and because they get sucked dry by special interests. Leeches go where the money is to do their leeching…
