1. Alluding to the having the same shopping experience/inventory as the USA, and then not producing it.
2. Non competitive pricing with the same lack luster merchandise available at discount stores.
3. Basically ran it like a p~~~ poor re-hash of the failed Zellers (HBC) franchise.
4. Could not compete with Walmart

They completely misjudged the Canadian consumer, and the general angry mood of buying complete s~~~ at higher prices.

I always liked Target but don’t have a choice where i live now, it’s walmart or nothing. But it sounds like they just went in too big too fast.

I laugh around here, one restaurant fails, someone buys it and does the same type of food, it fails again. Someone else comes along and buys it, it fails again.

Target did that by buying up zellers, it fails, gets bought out continues on, fails, gets bought out continues on. Target comes in , the only difference is they wasted a s~~~ ton of money rebranding and renovating but ultimately failed again because they really weren’t any better than zellers which failed. Really, it’s not much of a sock.

They should have gone into the big city centers and larger rural type areas where walmart is successding the most and put down a foundation to launch a sustainable expansion across canada from with a 10 year plan. Not lets buy up 200 failing zellers stores and convert them to target and cross our fingers. Stupid.

I found the boycott complete manginery as the whole purpose was to avoid us evil men getting into the women’s bathroom even when there is no magic force preventing any man from getting in. If you really wanted to molest little girls you could already have done that before hand. The reason it happened was the manipulation of man’s provision and protection since how will his wife and daughter go to target when a stranger might molest daddies princess and his queen? it does not matter that if you get raped in target it all is a probability thing and that even before the policy you could still get raped in a bathroom.

Now even worse is that i remember women getting into the men’s bathroom on the beach once far before target did its transgender s~~~ and they were not arrested or dragged away even when they could have claimed harassment as in men’s bathrooms we take our c~~~s out to p~~~ (which they could have easily saw).

No arrests were made no was there a boycott of the beach.

Now more on target, target failed because Canada is a s~~~ market and has a s~~~ dollar raising the prices. Canada is a hard place to compete in simply because companies need to turn in profit at the end of the year and Canada is the most expensive place to get good land in places were people will actually go there (why travel to target 30 miles away when walmart is less then 5?).
