Why care about the First lady?

What is with the obsession over the First Lady? Nobody elected her yet she suddenly has legislative power now? Remember when Michelle Obama advocated government force towards healthy eating in schools? As far as I am concerned, the first lady is nothing more than an unemployed wife. Her job is to make sure the kids don’t die. Why care about her?

Of course ALL the women applauded, laughed and clapped. They LOVE that expression. Because it’s all about how she can manipulate her husband with a few well-chosen words.

This is a lost art form on modern women, and they don’t even practice it with any grace or polish. They are crass, catty, snide, underhanded and no longer charming or lovely in their methods. As women, they don’t even understand true feminine power themselves.

There is a difference between STRENGTH/TRUTH/POWER and INFLUENCE.
Oprah has “influence”. A first lady has “influence”.
It’s enormous power of another kind.

Except influence doesn’t even need to be based in reality. That’s how a first lady can sit in front of an audience, and lie her f~~~ing ass off , and get applauded for it and gain “popularity”. You can get someone to embrace a complete lie using influence and popularity.

A first lady can get applause, popularity and cheers in a way that her husband can’t.
He actually has to do his job for realz.

I remember Nancy Reagan and her “just say no” to drugs progam–no power, no authority, but a moral crusade–good for her.

NOW we have a first lady who is a hottie—she doesn’t have to do anything but sit there and look good—I think that is one of the reason lefty lib c~~~s hate her so much—she is gorgeous and they are a bunch of fat, tattooed, pierced purple haired shrieking freaks.

I pondered that question for a few seconds and it seems most the prominent women in our times are really just the wives of achieving men. Of course the main examples that come to mind are all first ladies.

I am trying hard to recall more examples of high achieving women from my libertarian studies, but only men are coming to mind. Of course I can recall all the clique examples like Rosa Parks and Susan B. Anthony. Rose Wilder Lane had some influential writing. But in comparison to men, I cannot think of many.

Retailers: Sam Walton, Ray Croc, David Sanders
Professional Fishermen: Van Dam, Mike Iconolli, Al and Troy Lindner, Doug Stange, James Holst

Occasionally a woman will break through into these leagues but the focus is more on their gender than their actual accomplishments. There are getting to be quite a few female outdoorsmen like Eva Shockey and Melissa Bachman. Whenever mentioned, people respond that they mainly just enjoy the “eye candy” and these hosts certaintly market themselves this way. Seriously, they wear makeup out hunting. Deer don’t give a s~~~!

The absolute worst is facebook. A model will pose with a fish and all the white knight fishermen will say things like “A real woman” or “tag a friend who this girl outfishes”. In reality, behind the camera is a man and she is on his boat using his gear. These women of great accomplishment never place well in fishing tournaments and eventually get forgotten.
