Who's (on average) smarter – men or women?

If you look at the IQ bell curve, men tend to be more towards both ends of it, while women tend to be more in the middle of it.
Meaning that most really stupid people would be men, while most of the really really smart people would also be men. Meanwhile, females tend to be more “average”.
Which may be why I know some really smart guys who consider most girls to be stupid: when you have 130 IQ and meanwhile the girls all have 110 IQ, well you may perceive that as “dumb”, while in fact it’s just average intellect. The only thing making it seem like it is the difference between the two persons.

I definitely would not say females are “dumb”, they just tend to get too emotional on certain topics (many topics, I’d even say).

Though, I’d argue that when in comes to creating something great, men still dominate. Maybe I’ll change my mind about that once we have the female equivalent of Da Vinci or Dostoiesksy, which I don’t think will happen anytime soon.

It is a common failing of childhood to think that if one makes a hero out of a demon the demon will be satisfied.

I think college attendance is majority female now. Even if they do well it’s basically them mimicking and not thinking for themselves. It’s not hard to get a 4.0 in college in fluff subjects.

This is one of the reasons that many professors stay on campus and never go into the private sector. They can regurgitate theory and that’s about it.

the whole question of which gender is smarter is stupid.  I remember a TV host saying “of course women are smarter” and seeing a woman in the audience pumping her fist like she just gained 20 iq points.  She was so happy to hear that women are smarter, she felt that she somehow benefited from that and cheered.  Women are smarter.  I’m on team women.  I’m smarter than men.  That’s the train of thought going through their heads and it’s absurd.  Whatever gender is smarter doesn’t make you smarter at all.  I don’t care if men are smarter or not.  i only care about my own intelligence and how it can better serve me.

I knew this topic was cheesy when I started it, but sometimes you have to ask cheesy questions to get serious opinions on something. I’ll chime in later with what I really meant, gotta run to work now

It’s not a matter of who’s more intelligent, but rather who is more logical.  The male and female brains are very similar and are both capable of a remarkable number of calculations per second.  The difference is how men and women choose to use that brain power.  Men invent things and strive to make a decent life for themselves and their families.  Women take care of the children and keep the family unit together.  They’re 90% emotion and 10% logic.  Men are the polar opposite.  Because of this, men seem a lot more intelligent than women.  Men and women are built differently.  There’s nothing wrong with this.  What’s wrong is the way modern women want to use men as mules to get what they want without having to actually work for it or give anything back.

I truly believe that men need an emotional connection with a women.  But their selfishness has made this impossible.  It’s true that men sacrifice their hard-earned money and resources for women.  They always have and it’s always been a good trade-off.  But now that women are just taking and giving nothing back (such as loyalty, love, companionship, and sex), then dumping the man and doing the same to another man, men have decided that enough is enough and that they’d rather be alone.

What does it matter if a female was smarter than a man when she never uses that intelligence ever?
