Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation. Oscar Wilde

Dare to be you, dare to find who you are.It is the toughest thing you may ever do.
stope being manipulated by every one we meet
    as Mick Dagger said
    When I’m watchin’ my TV
And that man comes on to tell me
How white my shirts can be
But he can’t be a man ’cause he doesn’t smoke
    The same cigarrettes as me

We are praised and shamed to do and buy what we are told for others benefit
    Little boxes on the hillside,
Little boxes made of ticky tacky,1
    Little boxes on the hillside,
    Little boxes all the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

And the people in the houses
    All went to the university,
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same,
    And there’s doctors and lawyers,
    And business executives,
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

And they all play on the golf course
    And drink their martinis dry,
And they all have pretty children
And the children go to school,
And the children go to summer camp
    And then to the university,
Where they are put in boxes
And they come out all the same.

And the boys go into business
And marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they’re all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same.

    Yeah. Be yourself!

“There are more copies of humans than individuals”. – Picaso

Besides, an original is better than a copy.

I really can not agree any much more on that. It’s just true and the way it is.

"We are free to follow our own path. There are those who will take that freedom from us, and too many of you gladly give it. But it is our ability to choose – whatever you think is true – that makes us human. There is no book or teacher to give you the answers, to show you the path. Choose your own way! Do not follow me, or anyone else."

This is a great topic. Of course, there’s the feighned or faux bulls~~~ going on that you all hear.

    -Be yourself
    -Be an individual

And you hear and see s~~~ like that from Apple Corp, and all these hipsters and all that, ect. But really this is what they’re saying.

    -Be yourself
——Be yourself as long as you fit into another group of people who look walk talk and act like you.
    -Be an individual
——Be an individual who is part of a group of people who act the same

There’s never any genuine individualism. It, like emotions, have been steam rolled out of us. Oh, you’re a hipster? A non conformist? Then why the f~~~ do you look exactly like the other million “unique individuals” out there? Because you’re part of the watered down group of people who want to be different so they all end up being the same. Not the OP, but in general.

The root of all this is society needs you to be a part of it to work right, and to think as a herd to further benefit the herd. That’s why you’re shunned for not having a million friends, that’s why you’re weird, and made fun of. That’s why extroverts are hugely praised and loved while introverts are told they “need to come out of their shell”. Like there’s something wrong with that, like YOU need to fit in. It’s total bulls~~~. Make up your own mind on s~~~, and really be yourself. There will be people like you, but there will only be one you.

No disrespect to anyone, I re read it and it came across as hateful, and that wasn’t my intention.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

you right to be a real anti Establishment, you need to wear the uniform lol.
So you want to jump out your trick bag
And ease on into a hip bag
But you ain’t just exactly sure what’s hip
So you start to let your hair grow
Spend big bucks to cop you a wardrobe
But somehow you know there’s much more to the trip
It is all about games! Society in general and women in particular are shamming you with guilt. How they work is after doing the best they can do utilize your money strength and abilities to further their agenda.
Have you been told all the things women do for you. Cook, clean bare your children etc. You need to be made guilty for you utilizing your money strength and abilities for your own purpose. You need permission to use what your whit, skill and God given talents
I said it was hard “No disrespect to anyone, I re read it and it came across as hateful, and that wasn’t my intention.” don’t apologist for how you feel.

    -Be an individual
——Be an individual who is part of a group of people who act the same

Actually it’s not that simple, and not a paradox. People act on many different things in many different way. It’s an over-simplification that if I’m an introvert, I am part of a “group”, because there are many other parameters of a human. Let’s say I like beer, then I’m part of another group, that may contain extroverts too? Then to which group do I belong? No answer to that.

So, let’s imagine a vector of probably many million numbers, where 0% means to (dislike /not be like), and 100% to (like / behave like) something. Then set a threshold at 50% of the parameter “like of beer” or “introvert/extrovert” and you have two “groups” of otherwise, possibly totally different people. So, we are unique in that way. Some people may be off the 0%-100% scale is some parameters, even more unique in that one.

And, due to the very large numbers, there is a high chance that very similar people exist. This does not make me to feel like a “copy”
