Seems like a woman fell inside a pool( all were drunk and it was night) and many of her colleagues(men mostly i think) jumped in to save her but one guy gets drowned( he is said to be a good swimmer). Others realise this later but when they do its very late.

I think in the rush for saving the woman someone must have accidentally hit him or pushed him down leading to his death.

Had a man fell inside i dont think there would have been such a rush to save him.
