Recurve, compound, recurve crossbow, or compound crossbow
This is not particularly for hunting. May possibly use deer hunting, but not too likely.
I’m just thinking about adding another weapon to my little collection. I’ve owned a recurve once a long time ago and it was fine. Never owned a compound or crossbow. I like the crossbow for accuracy and ease of shooting but for a massive zombie attack it seems hard to get a second shot ready in a pinch. Your thoughts.

I’d pick the one that requires the least amount of strength as my arms are thin.

That’d probably be a crossbow with some type of c~~~ing mechanism. There’s some that use rope or a cranking device that allows you to c~~~ it without an extreme amount of force. The compound bow is hard to pull initially, but easy to hold in position after that. The recurve is the same to pull or hold in position. A 60lb recurve takes 60lb of force to pull it back and hold it.

Diamond Archery is top notch, in my opinion. Matched with Carbon Express arrows. Interchangeable heads for whitetail and the unusual fishing trip.

I like Diamond because that is all I have ever used. Adjustable cams (never really mess with those after the first adjustments). Light weight, and handles well for me.

My buddy likes Matthews, but each to their own.

I’m thinking of updating to the Diamond Deploy SB. It’s maximum draw length is at my minimum accepted, but I will need to handle any bow before purchasing, so I’ll decide after visiting the Bass Pro near me.

I was thinking catamaran for stability, and the flat floor above the hulls…

    Oh not that bow

    A bow bow…oh well, I’m embarrassed.

crossbow of some kind I think.
