A Dachshund will often give no warning before it attacks. My Dachshund likes most humans (especially the ladies) and small dogs (except for pit-bull puppies). If a large dog gets close, he will attack without fear. Medium sized dogs are hard to predict but it depends on has last encounter.

Whatever dog you like. I have a Navy Buddy of mine who has a shih tzu, now this guy is very much a mans man. He has very bad PTSD, anywho it was recommended he get a service dog. He went to a rescue that works with vets to look at dogs.

We all thought if he decided to adopt a dog it would be something big as everything in his life is that way. Over the top has always been how he does things.

Ths bastard came walking out the first day with a little shih tzu named (he named it)Skittles.

It’s a cool dog and although it’s not what people would call a mans dog it doesn’t matter.

Now if you need something to boost your appearance in a way that you think is manly… get the dog you think of as a man’s dog.

To me a great pyrenees is an awesome dog. I have also given thought to a Tibetan Mastiff but that’s because of where I plan to be living in the next 18 months or so.

That said im not really a dog person but if I did get one it would be a guard dog that overly big, powerful, and independent because I cant stand the way most dogs get all attached to people. I also dont like how a dog dog behaves. Like a Lab or even Pit, they are dog dogs and I dont like that.

Mastifs are use, I would like have something which is medium size, full with energy but heed to command.

Rottweiler’s , Australian cattle dog, and Border collies are a three of the most intelligent dogs alive..

Rotties are as Loyal as they come, their intelligence is why they are used as service dogs. They are short hair and love to work.

Cattle dogs and Border Collies are great herd dogs and can be left to figure tasks out on their own..
