I completely get that saying no the 2nd time around is the right way to go. However, I don’t get what 20 lbs and 2 kids has to do with it? Personally, I don’t want to concerned with people that I don’t care about’s success for failures in life. It’s irrelevant to my happiness. If that same women had a successful life in your opinion, would it really make any difference?

Ok. Then do it.

I think the moral of the story was if that same woman had a successful life she wouldn’t have come crawling back to him…she’d just have remained thinking she was too good and disinterested. Instead when OP was successful and she a massive failure, she came crawling back hoping for him to lift her up…but why the f~~~ should he? She didn’t want to help him be successful but now that he is she wants to share in that success.
