Here I am,laying on my couch as I am in full blown panic mode. As you all know, I lost my job in early August. I’ve applied to, no joke, over 200 jobs in every field where I’m either overqualified or not enough (though I meet the qualifications).
I have applied to other STATES…and FOUR jobs have all called me from one state…Arkansas. Funny enough, that’s more than I’ve been contacted here in Texas…which is once in those 200+ applications.
I have two interviews scheduled, and more to be scheduled when was set to arrive Tuesday…
I sold my car today and got money to put into the payment on my truck and the insurance. That truck has run perfectly for me…until now. It cranks but won’t start.
The worst thing is that the money I have from my car can’t cover the cost of a fuel pump fix, much less an $80+ diagnosis.
I am told to move out of my apartment before the end of the month, I owe under 2 years left on the truck worth of payments…and here I am stranded.
Looks like I may have to cancel my trip up there, and my interviews. One was a really good paying, hard working-kind of job.
I made cheap hotel reservations that will now cost me a pretty penny to refund if I can’t make it.
I’m at a loss, guys.
I feel like I want to jump off a bridge and end it all.
I feel like I want to jump off a bridge and end it all.
Hey dude do yourself a favor and don’t, I repeat don’t do that…! (honestly)
I know what it’s like, man. Been there myself not too long ago it was in February or March when things were looking utterly bleak for me as well. And after a short lucky streak in summer even now my prospects these days are going somewhat downhill once again but still I won’t fold.
Also bear in mind that the season’s change right now from summer to fall (shorter days less light and so forth) is also in part naturally responsible for a downward moodiness of people on the northern hemisphere. Being aware of it, I shall soon start taking my (natural!) anti depressants (based on St. John’s wort) again like I had been doing for a few winters passed (and here the weather turns very gloomy in the winter months as in lots of rain, fog, temperatures hovering just above freezing or occasionally at worst hitting rock bottom at one or two dozens of degrees below that…).
So by all means do try to stay positive, man.
I hope this might help you:
And maybe even this one here by Trev’ Freeman:
All of this and the things I’ve written above are as much (or as little) I can help/support you with for the time being, but please hang in there, dude whatever you do…
You might just not regret it…All the very best from the heart of a fellow men going his own way..!

PS.: And remember after all –> mgtow and this website and forum is here to save men’s lives …
I'd rather die a natual death with a clear MGTOW conscience somewhere off the grid than one within "modern" civilisation with a big stress mark on my forehead and a couple of dozen tubes plugged into my body. Back to the plantation..? Me..? Hey, literally: I won't ever fucking kid myself...YZERLMNTSIC

Anonymous42Just make sure if you’re gonna jump off a bridge that it’s not to high and you’re over water! And you can swim! Otherwise DON’T! Your luck you’ll survive! as a cripple!
Do some Megachris% overdrive and sell whatever you can to get a fuel pump! Diagnose it yourself by pouring a couple tablespoons of gas in it and see if it fires? Could be a clogged fuel filter? search UT for other people that had the same issues and solved them.
Texas has allot dust no? Check the air filter? Solve the problem that much faster and it’ll be that much sooner you get back on your feet again! This is YOUR LIFE’S CHALLENGE grab the bull by the horns and get your magic carpet flying or you’ll become HOMELESS AND WALKING!
Then everything and all things will be kicking dirt in your face!
This is the cold harsh reality we disposable men face!
There’s no help program for men! We make it or we get shoveled under!
So get your feet out of the grave and get the damned truck running!
Stone cold no “pop” is usually fuel or spark. If you smell fuel in the tailpipe (sniff it) after turning it over, it’s usually an ignition problem. If you don’t smell fuel after spinning it over it’s usually a fuel system problem.
Nothing feels better or more rewarding than solving life’s problems!
I know it’s been a string of torpedoes hitting one after another! Believe me, my ship is listing! Fire and bilge pumps running! But still somehow I keep pressing forward because I know in my heart when you’re DEAD IN THE WATER that’s when THEY’LL SINK YOU!!
No magic carpet? No place to stay? That’s when you’ll get some of that fine Texas dust in the crack of your ass!
Roll up your sleeves, search through your brothers on the internet for all the answers on how to diagnose your truck and get it running!
Could be a broken gas gauge and that it’s simply out of FUEL!
Crackthe fuel line fitting but with a rag over it because some systems are high pressure with the pump being located inside the tank.
Could be a blown fuse to the fuel pump circuit.
This life trauma you’re experiencing could all be hinging on a fuse costing under a DOLLAR!
Wiggle your way out or be destroyed that much longer and that much harder!
I’m rooting for you Chris! No problem child is too great for TEAM MGTOW!
I am sorry Chaff, I cannot stop posting for a few days.
Sorry@Governor Megachris
Assuming the truck cannot be fix in time.If you see that if you have a good chance to land a job on the interview, is it possible to get there by public transport? Or there is public transport that get you close enough there so you can walk there?
In my previous job I had walk for more then 1Km from one bus stop to another bus stop because the public transport sucks, and I did that for a few months before I landed on my current job.
That time, I don’t really have enough money to rent a place close to my workplace and stay in my parents house. I need about 5-6 hours to and fro traveling from my parents house to my workplace. I wake up very early and get back very late.
See if it is feasible to get a public transport to get close enough and walk the rest? You would need to bring spare clothes and get there earlier so there is time to dry off the sweat. Then use the washroom of that company to groom yourself a little (some powder / perfume to cover the smell but not too excessive because too much stink too) and have a change of clothes (I did that in my old job due to the walking).
And don’t be discourage if you cannot get the job at the interview, you still have many other interview.
If you cannot afford to keep renting, so what, you can live with your parents or live in the truck.
http://indefinitelywild.gizmodo.com/lessons-learned-from-a-year-living-in-a-van-1695536542I know that sucks, but this is an emergency and a man have to do whatever he can to survive. So long as you survive, you stand a chance of changing your fate. Even Google employee live in a truck.

Been there and it is not a good place to be. But it does have a purpose.
When you think you have nothing left to lose, you finally see yourself alone and as you really are. You are not your career and you are not your possessions. Once you learn who you are, there is nothing that can ever harm you again.

Good luck brother. I have hit rock bottom before, many of us have.
You can bounce back. I believe in you because you are here and seeking solace. There is always hope. Now think positively, get working and solve the problems.
You can do it. You will do it.
Hang in there bro..Don’t go jumping. Like they say “Never solve a temporary problem with permanent solution”. I have lost everything I had twice now, you will come back.
If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.

Get under the truck and turn the key on. You should hear the fuel pump pumping if it working. Another easy way is most fuel lines have a quick connect on them disconnect the fuel line then turn on the key to see if fuel is coming through the lines.
What model and year of truck are we talking about
Also check the fuel pump relay fuse it’s normally located under the hood. And it should be labeled under the lid of the cover for the fuse box.
