My stem degree isnt cutting it at all. I see the trend of too many college degrees is only going to get worse. What are some ideas of how I can make money? Any trades really in demand?

I considered electrician, but its a 5 year program here, and starting wage is on 13$/hr.

I’m right with you right now. Currently looking to do a very mgtow blue collar job.

I don’t care how long the program is/takes so long as its a good program that will get me set for the next twenty years.

Anything that requires a license, electrician/plummer, then get in a union and get more certifications, lineman also make good money with benefits, don’t become a scab contractor that does manual labor that a monkey can do!

Trucking and heavy equipment operator licenses also are good as gold, combined with other classes like hazmat so you can haul hazardous material like gasoline and oil.

My point is LICENSE UP! Do the work that only licensed people are permitted to do!

Get a pilot’s license if you like to travel or have interest in flying.

5 years to become an electrician? Union?
I’ve done HVAC it is not a bad gig.

One thing about the trades is you can always do side work for extra coin.

Database Admin is always in demand.

Yeah, union apprenticeship. If I was right out of highschool would consider it for sure.

Do you have to be Union in your neck of the woods to be an Electrician?

Where I am we have several trade schools that are not Union and jobs that do not require one to be Union.

Just a side note, trades like HVAC can put you in an attic or roof top in the middle of Summer or Winter, that is not fun.

Another to add to the list is Sheetmetal worker. AFAIK, the get paid pretty decent.

The tough thing about the trades is that they’re hard on your body.

Through Normal Aging your, back, knees, shoulders, and joints in general deteriorate, but when you’re doing manual labor 8 – 10 hour daily year after year this increases the deterioration as well as probably getting a few work related injuries along the way.

Many tradesman become bent and broken well before their time. I know and have known more then a few.

Society, Women, and Contractors ALL USE MEN AS UTILITY ITEMS.

Years ago I was looking to buy a house.
Part of the process was a termite inspection.

Dude rolls up, gets out the truck along with a Beagle. I normally don’t describe things as cute but the bug sniffing dog was adorable.

Dude walks the Beagle around the property and the dog does his thing.
After about 15 minutes dude writes out a report and tells me his fee.

As I wrote the f~~~er a check I couldn’t help but think, that is a dope as f~~~ job.
