The specialty grocer had a Greek themed special this weekend, hard to resist when paired with the bounty of a garden:

Braised Lamb Shank (Garlic, Port Wine, Black Pepper and Lemon Juice)

    Dijon Glazed Carrots

New Potatoes with fresh Parsley, Chives, Rosemary and olive oil

    Side Salad

    Stuffed Grape Leaves

Hope that you are enjoying something out of the ordinary as well tonight.

Anytime Gambit, there is always room on the deck and plenty of wine and beer in the fridge.

    Market Watcher,

It might be time for you to put on a crock pot of 5 Alarm chili, jalapeño corn bread, cucumbers with sour cream and guacamole with baked pita bread slices.

Get your condo rocking by the pool.

Just threw some fresh bi-color corn ears on the grill for a post meal snack… you have to love Summer vegetables! Olive oil and cracked black pepper rolled in in aluminum foil.

    Yum yum

Almost forgot that I had them, hiding in the back of the fridge they were

I already gained 5 pounds with all the free time on my hands. You are not helping. LOL

I wish. Rocking by the pool is officially against the bi-laws. /sigh/

I read the topic and suffered a slight pang of depresseion, but as always, it immediately passed. Then I read your menu… f~~~ me… anybody have a gun? I will be enjoying a $5 grocery store sub sandwich and $2 bag of potato chips.

I gotta stop living out of my rucksack, man.

    Sorry Dennis B,

Get a grill and start using it. Subs are great for work, but Summer is meant for grilling on the deck/porch/driveway.

    Politely offered.

Any veggie wrapped in aluminum foil and grilled is great stuff.

As an Irishman I will bring some more potatoes for the cooking and whisky for the drinking.

    Roget that Dennis,

We have several units in my hometown and while they provide basic comforts, the rules of engagement are tight.

Glad that the light at the end of the tunnel is outdoors and potentially involves fun.

    Best wishes to you

Tomorrow’s menu is T-Bones and baked potatoes. Another side or so will be added, but basic mid-West food.

Tree frogs, cicadas, owls and other night time noises are a great after dinner symphony .

Almost makes me wish that I smoked cigars, almost.

You are welcome and I can relate. I ate too many take home meals last week, so grilling two consecutive nights will be a treat.

Sorry to hear about the bylaws but you could always start in your unit, or the club house and then move outside …. right?
