    Wordles Thought for the Day:
Data is not information, Information is not knowledge, Knowledge is not understanding, Understanding is not wisdom.
    – Cliff Stoll & Gary Schubert

“In short – just because you have some “facts” and share them doesn’t mean you’re informed, or the “facts” are useful. Nevertheless, the concepts are connected, and one needs to “know” how.” Gary Myers
    ————————————————————————————–

In the age of today’s instant news mediums, we are bombarded by facts and the ability to share them with others (look at most of the MGTOW forum threads), however there is rarely any connection between the introduction, the actual fact and the assessment (if any).

    All the result of getting something out there as rapidly as possible for “consumers” to view and interact with, regardless of the failure to follow the basic journalism W’s {Who, What, Where, When, WHY}

We’re not journalists, we’re just dudes on computers having fun! So a few people get bent out of shape and label us a dangerous hate group up to no good, so what? They’ve been slandering us and our gender for decades! It’s about time we p~~~ed them off!

Tower, As a relatively new MGTOW member, I do not have the legacy information you and others have regarding the history of addressing Mens social/legal issues. If the MGTOW message has been clear and concise from the start, then it is indeed slander and should be addressed as such.

If part of the problem is that we are not correctly addressing the issues women raise, then this might be something worth considering long term.

My was training in the Army was to present possible solutions along side the identification of problems, have we been consistent in doing this ourselves?

As more and more men start accessing MGTOW and it’s resources (Threads, Video’s, etc.) should be not be offering them something more than examples of why they should be Red-Pilled? We openly discuss the end result, but frequently do not speak of the process that got us there.

    Ah yes…
Pompous purveyors of propaganda posing as providers and protectors of wisdom.
Yet they cant seem to comprehend why people do NOT trust MSM and question most, if not all “information” reported/propagated by them.

Data is not information, Information is not knowledge, Knowledge is not understanding, Understanding is not wisdom.

So All of the great, not so great, and mediocre thinkers in human history are incorrect?
    How quaint.
These two “thinkers” missed a couple of key words. Experience and Consequence
Information + experience leads to knowledge
Knowledge + experience leads to understanding
Understanding + experience + consequence leads to wisdom.

The level of blatant ignorance and hypocrisy would be astounding had it not been so common.
(look at most of the MGTOW forum threads) – I will just point these “authors” to the MGTOW central forum.
In that portion of this website alone, there are 1355 pages of topics. Each page (except for pg 1355) contains 12 topics per page with at least 1 posted reply to each topic which equates to a minimum of 16249 individual pieces of “data”.
These posts are written in the words of men who learned, experienced, and suffered the consequences of various events.
The authors of said quotes postulate that the collective information, knowledge, experiences, and consequences of almost 25,000 individual men does NOT equal wisdom.
The additional irony is that the 5 W’s of dissemination of information is actually followed more on this site than in MSM reporting

I would agree, however I continue to wonder if MGTOW postings would be more powerful if they were consistently tied to the cause or root problem. Changing phrases to something like “this is caused because of this behavior” instead of “this is typical of a woman” seems more persuasive and of use in supporting Men’s issues.

That’s a tough one to pin down since we are all going our own way. It gives the observer the opportunity to latch on to one of a million ideas of what MGTOW is. Depending on the observer’s agenda they will go for the ‘Red Pill Rage’ and say we’re all angry haters or ‘Sovereign Peace’ and claim we’re all enlightened sages. We know MGTOW is a process.

We know MGTOW is a process.

Exactly. That’s the problem with having an IT/ENGR related job, you see a problem and you try to develop a solution for it.

Not just any solution mind you, but an optimal one that utilizes the least amount of resources … at least in my current job anyway.

I see where you are going with this and I agree. Our thoughts are only as good as the language we use to express them.
