What have you done?

What have you got?

What are you worth?

NONE of these questions matter a single f~~~ to me now. They used to, back when I based my self-worth on the opinion of society / c~~~s.

If you didn’t look good, have your own place, a car, a good career, friends, prospects etc blah blah blah then you were lacking.

What utter bulls~~~. The ONLY things that matter are whether you are living the life you want to live and are happy with YOURSELF, irrelevant of what c~~~s think.

You could be a janitor living in his mother’s basement, considered a loser by society, but still a happy and fulfilled man. What matters is your own opinion of yourself.

Never cede your sense of worth to c~~~s. We’re all gonna die, some sooner than others. Might as well do what the f~~~ you want with life, and ENJOY IT despite all the c~~~s around us.

True, never define yourself by what women value in a man, only what you value and what people you value value.

Women have broken their side of the covenant between the sexes. They are abusing men these days. Do not define yourself by your abuser but by your intrinsic merit.

I tip my hat to you brother, In the end it doesn’t matter how much you do in life, what matters is how much of it you feel it was worth it to you, obviously when it comes to giving you a sense of satisfaction or increasing your perceived selfworth.

I’ve met homeless people who are pretty cool and even though their situation sucks they made the best of themselves and what they had, while on the other side i’ve also met academics and people of higher tier in society who are successful and well established even though are not so happy.

Don’t waste your time trying to make other people happy, don’t waste your time reflecting on your past that you can no longer change since it no longer exists and don’t waste your precious time working so many hours if it doesn’t bring you inner happiness that can last for days to come.

Exactly mate. One of my biggest fears is waking up at 60 realising I lived somebody else’s life. I think I would be very bitter with myself for wasting it.

Something Joller said in his recent “Death” post really moved me the other day, he said you may as well run around in a field rather than work as we’re all going the same way. So true.

Life is much more than work and school, i remember when i lived in Florida and i would come to D.R. to climb Pico Duarte, just to get lost and watch the serene view.

I’ve always been satisfied watching people deeply entrenched in American culture suffer many failures according to it.

Watching a super hot chick hit the wall, or a guy that thinks only his possessions define him lose everything, is very satisfying. It’s satisfying because those events bring people one step closer to the enlightenment of culturally indifferent living and the true happiness and freedoms that can offer.

A lot of people never reach that point. Even for the ones that do, the journey is painful, but mostly while your in it. Afterwards you realize that most of the trials didn’t even really hurt, you just thought they were supposed to and believed it. The ones that did hurt, you don’t care about anymore.

I wouldnt trade my current knowledge for anything.

If I look at what’s valuable, and how I define it, ‘useful’ and ‘scarcity’ come to mind. By that definition, my time, which is finite and disappearing every day, matters to me. I loathe any waste of it. It is that one crucial resource that can’t be replaced. Given enough time, almost anything is possible.

My health, which if lost makes my time kind of useless. And my freedom, which has as much impact on the quality of my time as my health.

When we are all old, and time and health have run out. We will look back on the lives we had and the quantity of time in them, along with the quality of the time we had and those will be what determines how satisfied we are with what we look back on. How much we had and how good/bad it was…

And if there is a Creator that I am to meet after I die, and He asks me what I did with the time I was given, I’d like to think that I’ll be able to answer that I tried not to waste any of it.
