The mass shootings in the United States are now clocking in around a mass shooting a month. Since they appear to be unstoppable, what can be done? In the most recent shooting in Texas, they school had training drills and also armed law enforcement in school. Despite this, 10 people are now dead.
Since there is no hope ever of stopping them, what would be the best way to capitalize on it? Maybe we can have more hallway and public cameras to capture footage, and the regular shootings as part of regular programming. Maybe there can be some betting in Vegas on how many will die in the next shooting. Or, you could do a game show where those thinking about doing such shootings can call a number, and they will be made immune to prosecution, in exchange for appearing on the show, naming who they want to shoot, and the targets of the shooters are also brought on the show, and the shooter could then kill them on television. You televise it for big ratings, as people go into shock, and the shooter would then tell his story on why the deserved it. Think the ratings and advertising revenue.
So, since these shootings are going to happen, and nothing can be done to stop them, because they are the price of freedom, what way do you see would be the best way to capitalize on them?
Another idea is to turn Fortnite into a game show also, and pick up those who want to shoot others and drop them on an island for Batte Royale style. Heck, you could also drop those who are in America illegally unarmed on this island also, and those with guns could shoot them. Call the entire event Fortnite For Real.
The possibilities are endless.

Guns aren’t the problem, society is the problem. No easy solution to fix society. There are a plethora of reasons and we could spend days coming up with them and years debating them. In the end humanity is what it is and with too many people and technology amplifying the effects of over population, it will either end badly or become dystopian. Even if the very best could happen and we dropped to only a billion, it would still happen all over again. Humanity is incapable of being anything other than what it is…a mammal with some intelligence.
I guess it could be worse and we could be related to the reptile family.

Who is they? The “they” in the Texas shooting case is a high school kid, and the “free gun zone” had armed law enforcement in it. He used bombs also and targeted those he didn’t like when he did the shooting. He was practicing justice in his mind. If you ended up dissing him, you went on his list of those who killed.
In a lot of cases, the one doing the shooting ends up killing themselves after they are done. They know it is wrong, so they engage in this. How exactly does knowing things are armed, stop a mass shooting? It doesn’t deter. You just hope to take the shooter out, before things happen. In this case, law enforcement failed here, as they didn’t take the guy out.

During sweeps week, you end up having a celebrity version. You can have Michael Moore assaulted with bowling b~~~~.
As for banning Islam, the First Amendment prohibits the government from restricted the freedom of religion. It is protected the way owning guns is protected.
Again, these shootings are the price of freedom. The question here isn’t how to stop it, but knowing they are coming, what is the best way to capitalize on it, for the greatest benefit?

I am just trying to make the best of it, since it is impossible to stop. Bill O’Reilly said it is the price of freedom. Talk to Bill about this. We had a number of mass shootings since his writing about the Vegas shooting. They will keep coming. Knowing they are will and nothing can be done to stop them, what can be done? The point is to make the best of it.
Well, at least we reached the conclusion that is impossible to stop under Trump. We might as well embrace it fully and realize that mass shootings can break out any time, so arm everyone, and use the threat of mass shootings to make people do what you want. That is the American way, isn’t it?

The problem here is i think businesses have the right to have gun free zones but to also arm themselves. If i had a business i might not want a bunch of f~~~heads coming in armed however i would arm the staff who need it and get extra guns just in case s~~~ decided to happen to prevent problems.

When there is a conflict those with the upper hand tend to abuse the power imbalance in their favor on both the micro and macro level. And just like you won’t be able to get rid of all nukes, you won’t be able to get rid of all guns. Things tend to work out better for everyone when they are on equal ground. Without deterrents the individual as well as countries will always abuse an imbalance of power that is in their favor.

The Supreme Court decision in 1975 of O’Connor vs Donaldson makes it difficult for family or those familiar with a person with mental illness, to institutionalize or commit to treatment persons against their will. Before that time these shootings were rare, even though there was a 2nd Amendment then and gun ownership was common then.

In the most recent news, the father of the kid who did the shooting said he was bullied.
If you support Trump, you like this, and want more of it. It goes with liking Trump. No more being taken advantage of. The bad guys will pay. This mindset causes and escalation in violence, but hey, it goes with the territory.

How does Trump and “his thinking” cause an escalation of violence? School shootings have nothing to do with Trump. They started in earnest under Clinton, and continued since then.
The problem is not access to guns. Americans have had access to guns throughout their history. These mass shootings are a new phenomena, and are occurring under the toughest firearm legislation in the county’s history.
There is something profoundly wrong with society today which is causing this. If you want to fix the mass shooting epidemic look at the social fabric which is causing this. Passing a bulls~~~ gun control bill won’t do s~~~.
Something other than access to guns is causing this.
There is a reason why the most popular shows and movies today are dystopian in nature. People are not happy in their lives. There is deep, profound unhappiness. This is the cause. Not the guns.
The answer, is no.
Your prescribed solution to this issue seems to be the same as the instructions I read on the label of many chemicals and pharmaceuticals: “in case of exposure, treat symptomatically”.
These instructions are essentially an admission of ignorance.
Each of these chemicals has a very specific impact on physiology, and should be treated accordingly. Of course, we don’t know what’s really going on in almost all cases. We see shortness of breath and treat it as such. Because we don’t know what is going on, we do what we can. There are a few examples where the exact effect is known and the treatment for it is dramatically successful. We need to strive for that here.
In your case, the symptom is gun use. So we treat it symptomatically by taking away individual freedom. No one else has any ideas.
The difference in your case is that it’s an irreversible treatment with major consequences to freedom. It’s very easy to take freedom away, and extremely difficult (and bloody) to gain it back. This is not the route to go. As difficult as this issue is, we cannot afford to be intellectually lazy and treat this matter symptomatically. We actually need to find the cause here, and go from there.
The answer, is no.
