It’s just incredible how history is taught, by way of omission. Hitler is the bad guy, but FDR and Stalin are heroes. Roosevelt and Stalin had a lot in common since they were both Marxists. The thing with our military is a vast majority of the veterans(many of which get into law enforcement) and active duty people I know are pro-gun rights, conservative/libertarian far more so than liberal, and realize liberals s~~~ on the constitution left and right. I don’t know. I hate to say it, and it’s not popular, but you may be giving them more credit then is deserved. The military is paid by the govt, and everyone butters those who make their bread – that’s a pretty good rule to live by.

Military is also multi-cultural, and LEOs these days are completely f~~~ed in the head, if you ask me. Just look up videos of police against free inhabitants or police against sovereign citizens. Military and LEOs will only continue doing their job if they are paid and their families are safe at home. When insurgencies or invasions occur, they will drop what they are doing and go home, just like we would do in the same situations. Remember the cops looting at Walmart during the Katrina fiasco?
Most Americans who chose law enforcement or military service are generally morally superior to the politicians they serve, and will resist or rebel themselves if they are ordered or coerced into doing anything morally wrong.
On a different subject. there are no powers that can pull off an invasion on American soil and hold any significant amount of territory that is home to Americans, thanks our God-given right to defend ourselves with firearms, against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Just like the example set by Afghanistan, guerilla tactics by a determined populace, are almost a guarantee that an occupying force will never be successful.
In reality, the only real existential threat our country faces, is an attack from our own government, probably disguised as terrorism.

When it comes to the US, I don’t see how you could disarm the population. Besides being a logistical nightmare, the resistance would be like nothing seen before. Even if you manage to persuade the population enough to get an anti-gun amendment, if 10% of the population is unwilling to give up their guns, then it can’t be done.

I think we’ll see the US break up in separate countries before we see disarming of citizens.

Ok. Then do it.
