What Are We Fighting For?

If a society is to be functional, I feel that it should provide men with great incentives and rewards for their duty and loyalty. Here in the USA, soldiers came back from World War II with generous funding for their college education (G. I. Bill), opportunities to finance a house, and job opportunities provided by employers who were eager to hire war veterans. These men had the confidence of knowing that they were the heads of their households. They wore the pants. They were respected by their wives and kids. To me, that was a society worth fighting for. However, the USA has evolved into a nation that wants to castrate men. Instead of encouraging men to be their best, people in mass media constantly blame men for gender inequality and various social ills. Yet, whenever there’s a social crisis, natural disaster, or major problem that needs to be fixed, these same critics will call upon men to risk their well-being to keep this misandrist society functional. They want men’s loyalty without showing them gratitude. They want to downgrade a man’s castle into a “man cave.” They want more women to be leaders and heads of households and men to accommodate their irrationality and mood swings to avoid hurting their feelings. How am I supposed to be motivated to fight for a nation that resents my masculinity and leadership—yet requires the full essence of it during a time of crisis?!

Your point is well taken & valid. All of sudden men are guilty of ” toxic masculinity” but just look around you & everything you see was built by men & is maintained by men
Women want equality, well then be a plumber, a bricklayer,lay down some concrete, etc. etc.
Our collective strength defends & protects people.
Our ability to take risks provides the world with all kinds of new things & spurs economic growth for everyone
And yet we are demeaned for the very qualities that make us men

What this country has become, with generation snowflake and the transformation of colleges into socialist indoctrination centers, this country has become a mere shadow of what service people now and former have fought for. Which is a slap in the face of these brave souls and their sacrifices.

This country stopped being worth fighting for in the 1960s. Didn’t you see the videos and pictures of the soldiers getting spit on? Veterans getting pushed out of their wheelchairs and having benefits check, stolen by little bastards that run home to their Welfare Mommas.

Growing up in the 1990s and listening to the Veterans at the VFW hall I knew back then this country was f~~~ed. Definitely not worth fighting for. That’s why we are walking away.

We’re fighting for whatever we choose, as individuals, to fight for. That may be saving the world, financial freedom, survival.
