What are the Most Important Problems Facing Men Today

Every second of every day we are bombarded by news and information discussing, analyzing and attempting to resolve problems that face everyone.

Those problems are personal, family, community, employment, regional, national and international in scope. There are three categories that have been used from 1937 through 2017 by Gallup to track specifics issues for analysis within the United States. These questionnaires were asked in the context of the policies of the current President as they related to three categories: The Economy, Domestic Issues and International Issues.

Historic Economy Issues / concerns have included Budget, Unemployment, Taxes, The Economy in General, Labor issues, Cost of Living, Poverty, Energy, Trade, Lack of Money, Inequality and other Economic Issues.

Historic Domestic Issues of concern have included Dissatisfaction with Government, Unifying the Country, Religious and Moral Decline, Health Care, Civil Rights and Race Relations, Education, Environment, Crime, Guns, Corruption, Big Government, Drugs, and other Domestic Issues.

Historic International Issues of concern have included War or the Fear of War, Terrorism, Foreign Aid, National Security, Issues with Specific Nation States, Nuclear Bob/War, Communism, Military Strength and Preparedness, Loss of Prestige, Keeping our of War, Defense, and Other Foreign Issues

The results show that Domestic Issues (9 years), Economic Issues (7) and International Issues (4) were of primary concern during these Presidential tenures. Economic Issues (10), Domestic Issues (6), and International Issues (4) were of secondary concern. This quick analysis gives some credence to America’s agreement with President Trump’s campaign slogan of “America First.”

IMO… which is worth whatever you think it is worth:

Protection against false claims… finding lawyers and legal support systems for men who are falsely accused of bulls~~~ charges.

That in my opinion is the main issue facing men today.

No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.

personal freedom took a nose dive under the patriot act.
intelligence gathering for the purpose of commercial enterprise ( think facebook) catalogs various lists of information.
yes it happened in the past,
but with electronic technology it has skyrocketed.
your information is then sold,
to private, corporate and govt. agencies.
what is done with that info is scary indeed.

Always something to keep in mind as your information is always profitable for everyone else. If your information can be used against you, then it becomes a double edged sword. This is one of those issues that actually crosses all three categories in one manner or another.

Yes. It’s less of a concern when buying a “one use” container. You pay more at the outset, but worry less about hidden rust/leakage/etc.

Taxation wthout representation. FED inflating the currency out of our wallet. Vice legislation, which continually erodes 4th and 5th amendment protections. Generational medication of boys to halt masculine growth. These off the top of my head are the Goliaths facing Western culture.

One important issue facing men is the lack of resources for men who’re struggling. That struggle can be financial, health, mental health, or a number of other struggles. Women have every resource available to them, and they have a collective hive system of support as well. We as men are on our own when we have struggles.

After the obvious: food and shelter over your head, there are myriad concerns for all men in western society.

For me, and not in any particular order –
Personal freedom, including freedom of speech.
Economic instability.
The decline of traditional families and morals due to the onslaught of feminism and globalism – the twin evils of our times.
War and terrorism.
Genetic engineering – abortions, egg freezing, designer babies and other messing with nature.
Environmental concerns.
And finally, the general drift of humanity into a state of debauchery and evil.

The world is an ugly place right now, and I have a great urge to withdraw even further from it. Being contemplative and at rest is very difficult, although moving to the coast has helped immensely for me. I am planning some retreats next year and pilgrimages, not organised but alone. I am also seriously considering a monastic vocation and these retreats will be with religious orders here in Ireland. If things go well and I think I am ready I will take up the vocation. Right now it’s just meditating on it, because it will be the biggest decision of my life.
