    I´m talking about any job.

If I come to the U.S.A. as a foreigner who speaks the language and is willing to do whatever…what are my chances to get a shot?

For example…if I want to work at McDonalds, will they just let me or will I have to talk to some human resource manager idiot first and get lucky if he hires me for some reason?

If I want to work in the U.S.A. and it doesn´t matter to me what job it is, will I depend on luck or will I get hired if I want to work? Is wanting to work enough to get a job?

Are there jobs, that are always available for anyone?

I know it´s pretty much the same question in different forms.

If you’re a foreigner, you should have no problem landing a job. It’s Americans that have it harder.

Looking for heating and air conditions folks (HVAC) all over the upper Midwest. I even see ads where they will pay you a small stipend while they do the initial training.

Summer construction jobs will be opening soon. General laborers always in demand.

Also, lots of places look for folks willing to work night shift as security guards.

If you can get a state drivers license, lots of ads for short haul truckers.

Fast food places, always lots of turn over.

I´m a white man from Germany. The question was though, if there are jobs available for everyone in general. I´m not talking about keeping that job. Are there jobs that I can get right away…do I get a shot in the first place? I´m not worried about getting fired once I got a chance.

Thx for the answer, but that´s not what I asked.
I want to know if I get an opportunity in any case.

For example. If you are an employer and you are going to hire 100 people…does that mean I will get a job ? The answer is No, if more than 100 people are applying for that job.

Will I get a job just by applying for it? The question isnt if there are jobs… There are jobs always and everywhere, but you often have to compete with your CV and your job interview before you even get a shot at it, because others are applying too.

Waiting for someone who understood the question…

Yes you will likely have to interview with someone.
In restaurants it is usually the manger.

Are you thinking you won’t get hired b/c you are German?

I found one of the easiest ways to find a job here is to go to a temp agency. The couple of times I did this they had work lined up the next day. Your Millage May Vary.

I understood the question just fine brother. You should understand the answer.

If someone is willing to PAY you when you are being trained to do a job you are not yet qualified for, it could be a strong sign they are in need of folks, that they don’t have enough applicants to fill the positions.

If some place has a constant advertisement for a position, like a night security job, an intelligent person could assume they don’t have all the folks they need. That they have trouble getting enough people, thus the constant advertisement for help to hire.

Do you get the job automatically. No. If you present yourself as an asshole then they probably wont hire you no matter how bad their needs are for help.

You will have no problem whatsoever. Our GDP growth is 2.9% and climbing. Employment opportunities do vary state to state. Texas and Florida have the best chance of landing a job right away. There is a huge new auto plant being built in the Huntsville area of Alabama. Welcome my Deutsch Bruder!

Yes you will likely have to interview with someone.
In restaurants it is usually the manger.

Same over here…more applicants than jobs available in restaurants and also many people disqualify right away.

I live in Germany and I´m unemployed right now. If I apply at restaurants they will interview me ( in reality they won´t even do that, because even though there are many jobs, there are always more possible applicants…so they will compare me to others and have a job interview before they actually let me carry a plate)

BUT I sometimes get a job offer sent to me by mail from garbage disposal companies. They get my address from the unemployment agencies. They offer me a job without a job interview or anything at all, because their demand on workers is higher than people who are applying for this job. They have 0 information about me except that I don´t have a job right now and they offer me a job without any interview or CV. I need nothing…I just can take that job if I want. I only have to pick up the phone and tell them:” I take that job, when is my first day”

I don´t want any job in Germany, because I just want to leave…that´s why I don´t take.

I´m asking if there are jobs like that in the U.S.A. and I don´t mean at a trash disposal company necessarily…

For example…lets take the McDonalds example, but you can put any companys name. If I call “McDonalds”( and dont tell me to just try call Mc Donalds and find out if they do, because then you still didn´t understand the question).

If I apply at McDonalds headquarter, will they tell me that they have to do a job interview first or will they tell me something like ” Yeah, we have jobs open, not in this city but if youre saying ( me ) the place doesnt matter and you take any job…you can start next wednesday in Chicago, Wisconsin, blalabla. You just need to sign.

I´m talking about ANY JOB for EVERYONE. Not in a restaurant…I know that NOONE will EVER F~~~ING just let me work in a restaurant only because I want to work there. FFS

Are you thinking you won’t get hired b/c you are German?

No, the question was if there are jobs that are available for EVERYONE, EVERYTIME, just like in the garbage disposal companies in Germany.
Even YOU, can come to Germany tomorrow, call these companies and will have a job the next day…no job interview needed… Do you have jobs in America like that?

You can’t just come here and take a job. You’d need to apply for a visa which is limited to specialized fields for the most part. And the company would need to sponsor you, so mcdonalds or any fast food chain isn’t going to do that for you not that i think those jobs would even qualify for a work visa. When you accept an employment offer they ask for your social security # and if you’re not a citizen your green card and/or work visa.

There are some industries that illegally do employee ‘undocumented’ workers such as agriculture and hospitality both come to mind. But those kinds of industries do get raided by immigration from time to time.

There’s all kinds of s~~~ty jobs, America is the land of s~~~ty dirty jobs!

Personally? I would rather work the summers stringing barbed wire in Montana then work in Jackson Hole for the winter on the mountain. But that’s not the way things went, I got stuck on the east side of the rust belt!

The Western States (excluding the west coast) are nice places to live, everything is new and modern, not colonial cart path spaghetti roads, but new and modern roads. I live in a colonial area where the roads SUCK! I live where the industrial revolution came and went! Some of the most polluted places in the country! Supperfund alley! I’m lucky, I live in a massive nature reserve all around me! Thousands of acres set aside all for me!

Yes, thats what I´m asking for. Employers being so desperate that they will try out anyone…it´s not that I´m uneducated and stupid, but I can´t afford to fly over, rent a hotel and just apply for decent jobs and hope for the best.
Anything where I first have to apply and wait for the manager to make a decision between me and other applicants ( that´s how it is for most jobs of course ) and “get lucky” is not what I´m looking for.
I´m not in debt but I dont have the money to just fly over, rent a hotel for a few weeks and see how it goes.

I have a degree as trader in wholesale and foreign trade, I have 10 years work experience…theoretically I could find a very well paid job, but I don´t have the time and money to wait until a decent job comes by. I take the very next job available and then when I got it I look for a better one.

That answer is pretty helpful. Thanks 🙂

Don´t welcome me yet…I will first try to find a job in Iceland, but if I fail I might just swim over to the U.S.

That´s all true, but as far as I know there are exceptions for jobs where employers can´t find enough employees.
I´m not undocumented and I will get a visa without a problem. I lived in the U.S.A. legally for almost 1 year already.
Or are you saying that “McDonalds” isn´t allowed to hire me even if they can´t find enough americans?

Luckily I don´t need to come over illegaly. I have a social securtiy number and all other documents as well.
And if someone wants to give me a job, getting a work visa will be possible. The employer can always claim reasons why he needs especially me for the job.

Well America is not my first pick, but there aren´t many options.

If I wanted to take risks I would stay in Germany.

What are you talking about exactly? I lived in America and still watch the news. Are you talking about movies?
Kinda living in a fantasy world aren´t you?
Not even 1% of americans are brave.
You know who is brave? Alex Jones probably, but not YOU.
You are a nation of couch potatoes and wannabees living in the Matrix, just like every other western nation so dont give me this bs. I don´t claim to be brave, but

YOU arent brave, you´re just being arrogant towards me for no reason.
