Those faces looking like someone told ’em a huge meteor is about to crash Ha ha haaaa!! Best comedy I ever saw! Sony pictures should release the whole thing on Blu-ray uncut, titled The Day The Earth Stood Still 2. Guaranteed to be a blockbuster.

Soon, there won’t be a reason why America can’t be great again.

Nothing will come of the investigations. Healthcare looks like nothing substantial there either. Also, foreign policy remains the same, per usual, ditto on budget even though the Republicans have the House, Senate, and the Presidency…

Wake me up when something actually changes worth noting.

Ditto. Trump winning? Please. Take off the rose colored glasses for a bit, the s~~~ still needs to settle if it ever will. Draining swamps is bad for the environment especially when you replace them with suburbs.

I’ve always been a democratic leaning libertarian, but lately shifting towards right. I’d like to see mainly healthcare benefits… expand medicaid and make it more affordable and fix the horrible healthcare system. Also, free public university tuition is a good idea, if we can find a way to pay for it. Forget cutting taxes, we need to pay off the national debt. We need to focus on restoring infrastructure like interstate highways and bridges. I don’t disagree with Trump’s plans to reduce dependency on welfare for things like food stamps and housing. Seeing the crisis in the EU, I think the immigration ban couldn’t be coming at a better time, but I’m not sure it’ll really do much good anyway. 3-4 months time is not enough to really accomplish any serious overhaul of the immigration process.

Otherwise I don’t have too much to complain about at the moment.

I agree with you on everything except free college. It used to be a time where all people needed was a high school diploma to earn a good living. Alot of people were not getting them because they ended up having obligations that pulled them away from school. Like having kids early, working on the family farm, or a parent wasn’t able to work; so the child had to drop out of school to go and find a job to provide the family with some immediate income. Whatever the case may have been, a high school diploma was all that was needed.

But as more people started getting high school diplomas, the job market became saturated with low skill workers. If everybody has a high school diploma, then there is nothing to separate them from anybody else. So jobs started demanding that more and more people earn college degrees.

The same thing applies to college diplomas. If everybody has one, it waters down the degree and makes it useless. If someone were to say that all they had was a high school diploma now, they wouldn’t sniff a job that was capable of giving them a good living. Can’t give everybody a degree. Now what should happen, is government should get OUT of colleges and universities.

Nowadays colleges balloon their prices because they know that no matter how much it costs to attend their school, people will take out the loan to attend the school. At the end of the day, the school will get their money, and the student will be stuck with the loan to pay back. If government wasn’t involved in colleges, the schools would have to lower their prices to compete with other schools in that area. You’re not going to pay top dollar to go to University of Georgia, when Georgia Tech is cheaper. So if the University of Georgia doesn’t want to lose to their competition, they have to keep their tuition down in order to stay competitive. Take government out, and it will always work out like that. Competition drives down prices, giving the consumer better options to choose from.

We shouldn’t have free college, we should have cheaper college. And the way to do that, is to get government out of colleges.
