We will all die. That is unavoidable. Each second we live we are dying. Each second that passes is another second lost to the past. That is the unavoidable reality of this short life. That is the reality that makes even the brightest days seem dull and grey. It is also the reality that brightens the life you live with the hope, no the steel resolve to make every single second one of your own. To make joyous memories and accomplish what once was thought unobtainable. There is some joy in knowing there will be an end. It is like a reminder that you do not have forever to make your life the way you want it to be. To have forever to make something happen would be quite boring don’t you think? We as MGTOWS Know how to make our own paths of life since we threw out our predetermined path that society gave us. So let our mortality be our greatest strength. Our reminder to achieve what WE feel is OUR calling. Let us throw off the heavy weights of our past regrets and our past paradigms and go forth and make our own path we feel is suitable to walk down. We have only so long. Lets make it a good time so we can smile when the end comes. A true smile not laden with regret.

Well said! Never surrender to misery – and that means more than just toxic women. Avoid all toxic people when you can and walk away when the situation dictates you do.
Yes indeed this is your road. The toxic and destructive events, people and places we interact with are road bumps and they can be easily avoided or dealt with when ever you feel is necessary. That is the beauty of autonomy and self worth. There is no one but yourself dictating what you should do in situations like that.

Regrets are part of the human experience. We can attempt to throw them off, but they are still there. They may quiet down and hide, but they are still there. Humans are always contemplating the, “What if ? ” scenario and thinking if they had only done this or only not done that then life would be “happy’, and they would be “fulfilled” etc.
Buddhist monks work consistently towards freeing themselves from memories of the past, and worries for tomorrow. To live in the “NOW” is a challenging proposition for ANY human, and doesn’t seem to be obtainable in the 24/7 sense.

While I agree with you that the regrets may never truly leave we may have a misunderstanding. True that the regrets may still exist the power they have over you can be thrown aside and in turn they hold no authority over you. That is what I mean by having no regrets.

Also the what if s are of course unavoidable but you can learn to keep those down to a minimum or can use whatever mental tools at your disposal to understand the what ifs and through understanding and rationality can let them hold no power. at least that is how I do it. I guess everyone deals with them differently.

I used to tell this to my 12 year old niece when she’d bitch and moan about some imagined trauma she was going through: “We’re all dying, love… just some of us are dying louder than others.”
Thank you.
A good post on how to approach life – don’t forget death.
Death is the great equiliser. It teaches us to make our lives matter.
Because we will never know when we have to go.Having said that I hope they have a place in hell for MGTOW. I don’t want to spend an eternity with feminists.
with possible exception of some neurons, our cells regenerate to the point where we take on an almost completely new body every seven years ..i call that a new life, make plans, enjoy it, now
think spring, i’m buying new lawn mower today (and ice fishing)
btw .. it’s almost summer!
“Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to “die before you die” — and find that there is no death.”
― Eckhart TolleJapanese Samurai warriors were taught to “die before going into battle.” Learning to accept death as a plausible outcome of a battle, a warrior was able to fully give himself to the battle. If he was dead already, what could there be to fear? It gave a Samurai warrior freedom to give his all and often was the defining factor leading to victory.

In other words don’t let your past hinder you in the present or future but also try to learn from it as you go on in life. That’s brilliant.

Mouse Trap
I live with cats and mice;
Even grown dogs
Who stave off felines. This morn, a mouse
Was taken by Vanity’s claw
Within a kitten’s jaw.“I’d be a dog and not a mouse,”
Remembered I.
“lest next morn I’d soon die.”(We all die, but some people can kill us sooner.)
oh and I didn’t know Tags applied to your whole thread. I’m new. sorry dude…
Lolove how you opened with “we will all die” . . . . and the ended with “Cheers”.
Enjoyed your message. Cheers.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.The choices we make, not the chances we take, determine our destiny
I haven’t posted about this yet but I could have died last week. Long story short my friend negligently discharged his gun in my backyard. He shot through his hand and I was hit in the leg just above the knee. An inch or more into my thigh and it would have hit my femoral. I didn’t know how bad it was so I put a tourniquet on. In the moment after getting shot I panicked and realized this could be it. I stayed calm though and got through it staying conscious and alert. Spent 3 days in the hospital and now recovering. I wanted to share this because you never know when it’s your time, luckily it wasn’t mine. I have a new joy for life since this happened, because life is fragile and short. Carry on brothers..
