He was undoubtedly obedient to the Jewish laws and customs of that time and place. Meaning, he was married or else the Pharisees (and Sadducees) who kept tasking him with difficult questions would have tasked him with it.

“Over thirty and not married? What’s wrong with you?”

Nah, he was married, or else they would have had a reason to stone him to death and keep the Roman governor out of it.

My personal vote is Mary Magdalene was his wife. There is lots of supporting evidence for this outside of the four gospels.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

I would say: Of course! “A Man/God Going His Own Way”

    Food for thought:

Jesus, “For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Note: Eunuch means to not (by choice, birth or castration-which happened sometimes with slaves back then) having sex/relations with a woman.

Note : Many (though we don’t know what percentage, but definately Peter and Paul) apostles/disciples were married and left their wives (or kicked out when they wanted to take a hiatus, pure speculation) to do important things.

Translation: The last part is MGTOW! He that is even able able to UNDERSTAND [DO] this, Go for it!

    Look at Paul’s writing here:

“For I would that all men were even as I myself (concerning not being married if you look it up in the context). But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.” – 1 Corinthians 7

    ALSO, NOTICE THESE:

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands,” – Mark 10 :29

“Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.” – 1 Corinthians 11:9

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” – 1 Corinthians 11:3-10

    There are TONS more.

Good point, as all Pharisees had to be married!

However, I don’t believe He was married, and we’ll find out when we die – nothing to get worked up over, as this isn’t a hill to ‘die on’. (pardon the pun) 🙂

First the Silly (but kinda true and maybe the ‘best’ proof!):

<tongue in cheek> : How could He have managed to be SINLESS had he had to deal with a woman?!?! He would have AT LEAST had bad thoughts!! 🙂

    Second :

In justifying the apostles’ right to have a wife, Paul wrote, “Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas [Peter]?” – 1 Corinthians 9:5 If Jesus was married, this certainly would have been a perfect time to mention it to provide infallible support for his argument.

The Bible never mentions Jesus as having a wife. We have four Gospels providing us with a wealth of biographical information about Jesus, along with several letters from those who knew Him best, and not a single one mentions anything about Him having a wife.

    Also:

If Mary Magdalene was His wife (as proposed by many who claim Jesus was married), why didn’t He provide for her care at this time since she was standing with Mary and John?

    —-

I am not saying I’m right.

I am saying what I believe with the information I know/have.

Add being a Prison Minister for a few years to my resume, though that was a decade ago.

Back then I had to understand the popular faiths as it relates to the KJV bible (the only version the prisoner’s were given if they requested) as well as being very adpept in ‘Apologetics’.

    FUN FACT (historical regarding MGTOW):

MGTOW may have become ‘mainstream’ before, with Clement of Alexandria (c 150-215) [150 years after Christ] writing, “Some openly declare that marriage is fornication and teach that it was introduced by the devil. They boast that they are imitating the Lord himself . . . ”

That is a better ‘conspiracy’ than Jesus and marriage (and it is documented fact. And Clement of Alexandria was a Christian!

And to those who choose to be with a woman, but be UNMARRIED! (gasp! Conservative Evangelicals (I consider myself one, but NOT A FOLLOWER of Dogma!) notice THIS (which is true! Also from Clement) : “. . since the last Adam (that is, Christ) was entirely unwedded . . ” But we know Adam slept/sex with eve, but there was no ‘marriage’.

    Anyhow.. Draw your own conclusions.

    1) The Bible clearly says, “Preferably DON’T get married.”
    2) ..BUT if you have to: The man is the HEAD of the woman! (Period. Sorry politically correct Biatch) If that isn’t possible, we can debate what path is ‘right’.

Personally? And I am not your spiritual ‘guide’ or any B.S. like that by ANY means, but I can find LOTS of president for a lot of different lifestyles regarding to how you live/treat/wish to interact/only have sex/only be friends with women –

And I can show you in the KJV bible with several references.. So we (all of us regardless of how we each decide to pursue our OWN WAY, we’re not to feel ‘shame’ or like we’re sinning either) – Which is GOOD NEWS!

    ..A thought:

No disrespect (my first day on here) RoyDal, but I would ask you to consider this:

Yes, He was sinless, but following their CUSTOMS was not SIN. In fact, following them in many was WAS! Think about how he healed on Sabbath day, did ‘work’, even DRANK (contrary to what many Evangelicals think – And I consider myself ‘sorta’, though I don’t claim to be part where I just swallow (ANY) dogma because someone says so with ‘authority’. ) tons of examples.

Now, it is ABSOLUTELY TRUE (as you say) that you weren’t allowed to teach unless you were a Pharisee and you had to be married to be a Pharisee (Paul WAS! ‘Pharisee of Pharisees’ <best of the best, and I count it ‘dung’>)..

AND YOU ARE CORRECT that He ‘Taught in Synagogues (lots)’! But they ALWAYS got p~~~ed, and either tried to kill him there or plot to do it! I believe part of that was because He WASN’T a Pharisee!

People think and believe reflexively that it is because of WHAT He read! In Synagogue He ONLY just read from the scrolls! But He just read what they might have heard from a Pharisee! I believe a huge part of why they were angry (enough to kill or plot to kill) is that a NON-PHARASEE had the GALL to read THAT (when we ‘let’ you read out of ‘respect’ (for your growing popularity among the people) — Remember, how the Pharisees even had a good measure of ‘respect’ for John the Baptist, and then John goes and says, THIS GUY IS WAY MORE AWESOME! That word spread from there (Jordan) and immediately Jesus goes to the Mountain to be Tempted.

The very next thing (in Luke’s account) is the first we see in the Bible Jesus teaching in Synagogue and of course they try to kill him immediately (in his home town no less)!

<He just read ‘generic’ scripture in the template, and preached ‘freestyle’ in the inner or outer court or in the lands>

If he was a Pharisee and read the same Scroll (scripture) would they have gotten mad? Like they never heard Isaiah before?

    Just a thought…

    —————

    Luke 4:16 – 27
“..He went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. ..” He reads from the book of Isaiah, then, ”

    –Then..

Luke 4:28 (right when he is done reading)
“And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.”

    ..Then also, notice this:

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.”
    – Luke 4:15 (KJV)

While Jesus was married to Mary Magniline, he certainly had MGTOW traits. However, the most MGTOW man in the bible would have to be the Apostle Paul. 1 Corinthians 7 and other scriptures in the bible show this. The closest followers of Paul would be the Valentinian Gnostic Christians. Many Valentinians believed in abstinence as well. I should know, I became a Valentinian in 2010.
