I need a new wallet. My current wallet is falling apart. Looking for recommendations on high-quality wallets. The past two wallets I’ve had have left weird streaks on my cards. And the pockets are gritty, almost like there is a layer of sand on the walls of the pockets.

I would like to avoid this with future wallets.

The wallet just sits in my pocket when I go out, and sits on my desk when I come home. It doesn’t have a hard life but they still seem to break down.

Anybody have any experience with good quality wallets?

I prefer black leather wallets, but am open to other suggestions. Cost is of course a concern, but I’m not afraid to pay extra for better quality.

I’ve had a Coach wallet for 20 years now, and it still looks close to new. Thin with a money clip. Cost me about $50. Love it. Some of the new RFID protected ones are cool as well.

Look for RFID protection, like to block tap scanners.
I got mine on discount made by Swiss Gear.
The little bugger is holding up well I’m impressed, with no annoying streaks on cards.

I stopped loosing wallets the day I threw my last wallet out the f~~~ing window! I keep my licenses and cards in my vehicles and use a bill clip or rubber-band for cash!

I think it was 1989 after getting it back (with all my money, cards, and other important s~~~), I decided it was time to live without the damn thing! So out the window it went, EMPTY!

Canceling all my cards and getting duplicate licenses has become a thing of the past! Not to mention the lost cash!

I still haven’t figured out what to do about my keys!

I caved and bought an alligator leather wallet last year for my Birthday. From this new shop out of Detroit. I forgot the name of the store/brand, but I like the wallet. It’s tough as nails but probably still too early to have problems with it. I treat it well.

American Express has new Stainless Steel cards which are laser etched. ( Maybe we will see more of this as other companies do same? ) The steel AMEX looks like the first day they issued it. The plastic cards are s~~~ and I used to call for a new one every 6-12 months. I don’t carry many cards, but I would blame the card before the wallet.

The wallet I owned the longest was a nylon/velcro wallet that wouldn’t die. Made of “seatbelt” material. It was cheap & ugly too.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I’m a wallet & jacket guy. At the moment I use the belroy note sleeve. Works a charm.

Dont know if you can still get it is tanned toad skin . The aboriginal people use to catch toad frogs and skin them . All you need is a hot glue gun and imagination . Best looking hat you will ever see . Made a few lighter holders . Should see some peoples faces especially woman after they have asked for a light . Use to be funny as when people realised it was cane toad skin .

Yup! I have a visor license and registration holder! That way I don’t get shot for reaching for my license and reg! They can see my hands at all times!

You gotta respect their job, playing scratch’n’sniff with all the crazies! My friend, an X cop, got attacked and had to fight the SOB! He was lucky someone else (a citizen) came along and helped subdue the maniac! Otherwise he would have had to shoot him! Or worse, get shot with his own gun!

    F~~~ THAT JOB!

Yes, I have one of the hardest cars to break in or steal (smart key) and I lock everything up religiously! Something I learned in the city!

For cash I recommend a Sterling Silver money clip. For the wallet, I just recommend a cardholder. Coin purses are nice as well. This way at the end of the day you can put the change in a container. Every month or so put the change into a Savings Account. A lot of banks have a change machine that gives you a receipt that you can hand to the clerk to put the balance in your savings account. I know people who buy cars this way, brand new every four years.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.
