I ran into this video on YouTube:
Considering how much is piled on marriage, no matter what, it is no wonder why marriage isn’t working. The end part of the video dismisses MGTOW as an option, so be warned, but the rest is useful.

Ahh, the warm fuzzy feeling between the ears called love 🙂
.. the absolute saving grace is that the part of the brain active in love is different from the areas active in other states such as fear. My fear area is so highly activated at the mere thought of what a slippery woman would do to my life, that it easily overrides the love region every time.

The thing though is that the chemicals in the body associated with fear do more harm than those associated with love, like oxytocin. Trick is to find ways to end up getting the good stuff in your life without the harmful stuff. In short, manage your life.

I saw it as more of a pointer to the advice that is good. The HOW TO generate the feelings is what matters. I see NLP and others helps, but looking at it again, it looks like a truism that a MGTOW would want to follow :-).

Love comes into my life like a rising tide. Like the tide, love also recedes in its time. Go Your Own Way, but stay above the high tide line.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
I thought it pointed out that going your own way was the best way but more difficult for people who are addicted to the need for a romantic partner.
Certainly the age old idea of marriage didn’t eschew what we now call “romantic” relationships such as concubines, you just don’t marry, or in his terms, share have your s~~~ and have children with your concubine.
I don’t think going your own way implies lack of socializing even with women but lack of going your way attached to a woman like in today what we call “traditional marriage” which is neither traditional or what used to be considered marriage.
Just don’t marry, promise to share your resources, or have children with your concubines.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
HOW you go your own way is important for determining how many problems you avoid, and how many resources you gain. Done a certain way, you still face a ton of other problems. Done right, you get coping mechanisms in place that would help.
