Hey guys I have a bit of a story for you. Well I am a vegan and I post on veggieboards a forum for vegans and vegetarians. I noticed that they didn’t have a forum for Men’s Health (even though they had one for Women’s Health). I opened a tame thread asking why, and it went down fairly well. In fact they decided to create a Men’s Health sub forum. That’s great! I made a fairly aggressive/redpill thread on the assumption that women would not be allowed to reply. However a moderator deemed it “too political to be health related” so it got moved to the compost heap. And in the compost heap, the women went NUTS!

I am not as strict a vegetarian as a vegan must be (Frankly, I’m not even a true vegetarian). But I do have a recommendation for those of the vegan persuasion.

First, ditch that forum. They can go %$#@! off. Let them wallow in whatever makes them happy.

I’m about a carnivorous as can be, so this whole issue seems a little weird to me, because (and forgive me for this generalisation) i thought that most vegetarians and vegans were feminists (mostly cause every vegetarian and vegan i’ve met is a feminists) so honestly that thread went the way i kinda would have expected it to.

however i am impressed that you actually managed to get a mens heath forum on there, props for that one.

Some of the language in there is VERY interesting. A poster called “Tiger Lilly” who purports to be moderate had this to say:  “One day, it’s going to be a shameful dot point in history that we required men to go to war but didn’t allow women to,”

Didn’t ALLOW women to. Did you catch that? ALLOW. Not “force them at gunpoint under threat of being declared a traitor and executed or imprisoned,” but ALLOWED to go to war.

Stunning that the idea that men are forced to do this against their will, and what it might be like if WOMEN were forced to march onto a battle field and fight for their lives, NEVER EVEN OCCURS to her.

But of course it’s all just about equality.

I find it interesting that nobody in that thread even bothered addressing any of the OP’s points in earnest.  There was the obligatory mocking, disingenuous empathy, irrelevant statistics, and the usual charge of “misogyny.”  It’s very transparent and predictable.

Feminists need new material.  Their views have fossilized and they’ve hit an ideological dead end.

The argument that they want to help their partners is irrelevant as we could equally retort the exact same reason for wanting to post on a women’s board.

Good for you man. Nobody needs to be vegan to be healthy. I am a big fan of the esselstyn brothers and I agree with them that to be healthy we need to eat whole plant foods. Obviously I feel veganism is a good ethical choice.

There are all kinds of vegans. It’s one of those things where you can have people on all points of the spectrum. Take this case for example, I have almost nothing in common with alot of females on that board, except that we both care about animals enough not to eat them. To be fair though, most vegans seem to be leaning towards liberalism/left and athiesm is dominant.

As a side note though, considering you are very carnivorous… Which would be more difficult for you do give up… all plant foods or all animal foods?

Yeah women aren’t allowed to post there (now). It was a moderator who moved it to the composed heap because apparently the suffering men endure is not a health issue.

@botanicConcepts hey man sorry for the late reply to your question i would most definitely give up animal based (even tho as said i much more prefer meat products) simply because of the detriment to health of not eating fruits + vegetables, not to mention meat wouldn’t be nearly as nice without the rest of the plate.

However I would be sad with out meat based products to boost the vegetables and fruits as well.
