So apparently some SJW retards calling themselves Morality in Media have been having a word in Paypal’s ear and they in turn have had a word in Valve’s ear, allegedly threatening to refuse providing services to Steam if they have anime and visual novel games including sexual content in the store. Because Paypal are supposedly against being involved in any transactions where sexual content/services are involved.

Valve despite have 7 other payment options available to them rather than telling Paypal (and by extension MiM) to go f~~~ themselves have seemingly massed emailed the developers of such games currently on Steam giving them two weeks to clean up the games or be removed.

Personally I don’t play such games, however censorship such as this cannot be allowed to succeed, because if it does there’s no telling where this crap will stop, the only gatekeeper that is required is the individual purchasing the product, or their parent/guardian if they’re a minor, if you don’t like a particular type of content, whatever that may be, do not f~~~ing buy it, simple as, but just because you don’t like it stop trying to prevent those that do from buying and enjoying something they do like.

Valve’s role should be that of quality control and storekeeper, provided the game is not violating the law of the country in which it is being sold the only thing Valve should be doing is ensuring that the game works (and god knows there have been some howlers on that score recently) and then selling it, taking their cut of the proceeds along the way, anything else puts them very much at risk of a decent chunk of their users deciding that there are better options available for obtaining their video games.

If paypal has an established policy against porn transactions then their corporate reputation is on the line and any reasonable board member would have to abide in their corporate charter, the fact that a bunch of crybabies made a complaint puts them on the spot.

They are clearing shortsighted because every time they do this they lose money in the market.

Look at Youtube. Censoring everything anti-PC. Then, they turn around and their best, more popular Youtube Red series, Cobra Kai, are some the most un-PC episode videos on Youtube.

To give you an idea of how popular Cobra Kai is to other Youtube Red shows. Been out for less than three weeks and has Over ten million people have watching the series. Before Cobra Kai, the highest audience any single Youtube Red show had was a few hundred thousand viewers.

In viewership, Cobra Kai is holding its own with some of the most popular new shows on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

In terms of quality, Cobra Kai is in the running to be one of the best series for 2018.

That being said, Youtube is starting to be called out on their hypocrisy. Now, Youtube is in a catch twenty-two. If they cancel the Cobra Kai or try to make Cobra Kai more PC in future seasons, this will drive away audiences and this will destroy any chance of Youtube Red being a financial success. But, if they continue to censor un-PC videos on Youtube while allowing Cobra Kai to stay, the hypocrisy will drive away their audience.

In addition, if Youtube tries to get rid of the Cobra Kai series, I am sure Youtube’s competitors will be more than happy to have a bidding war on whom will pick up the series.

This is going to come down to whether those overseeing Youtube want to make a small vocal group of spoiled brats happy, or make their share holders and customers happy.

Why not just disallow PayPal payments for adult games purchased on Steam? You want to buy an adult game, you’ve gotta use a credit card. It’s not a hard concept here.

I’ve never purchased an adult themed game on Steam, but I’ve thought about it. This really p~~~es me off.

I suppose it won’t affect me personally anyway, since the only nude stuff involves human women. I’m not a fan of hentai or anything involving humans when it comes to my porn.
