When I first started my latest job a few years ago, I over heard a gaggle of female co-workers discussing one of their potential divorces. Then I heard the strategy. “Wait until you have ten years married to him so that you get his Social Security.” Wow. A ten year plan. Marry, delay having kids “for their career” for about five years. Then hatch a few. At ten years, they divorce you and now have part of your social security retirement check. There are also a few kids you gave her that you will be paying child support on for the next fifteen years or so. For many women, marriage and divorce is not just something that just happens. Its a scam and you are the mark.

In some states alimony is for life, if youve been married for 10 years or longer.
Thats aslo why they dont want to work. If youve been supporting her, you will be requerd to ALWAYS support her.
Make it so she has to work. This is VERY important.

The world is full of reasons to go MGTOW. They can all marry themselves as far as I’m concerned. Alimony and child support are antiquated forms of extortion and should be discontinued. If we changed the laws it’s the divorces that would be better. As for marriage, that’s for the ones that are in it now to worry about. I just hate reading about the carnage and seeing the walking dead everywhere I go. It’s not as if everyone doesn’t already know how f~~~ed up it is. Apathy is the biggest problem, but would it fix marriage…no, never.

Railroad workers like me have the magical ten year time frame for benefits for a spouse. A fellow engineer I worked for years, great guy , Vietnam veteran, a great union man. Someone for younger railroader to admire. We had a clerk who worked with us about the same age as me, she was a pain in the ass. One day about 15 years ago her mom comes sniffing a round hanging out at the office to see her kid. Flirting and locking her radar on my buddy. This woman is in her early 50’s. Can we say desperate? Within a year are married. A few years later they live separate lives in the same house. Theeennn, the unforeseen divorce happens. No one saw it coming!! The day finally arrives where little miss bitch goes to the Railroad Retirement Board to see what she gets from her broken marriage. 0 is the reply to her. She flips out, but I was married for 10 years!!
( see guys women don’t plan divorces) lol! The man says no you were only married 9yrs and 11months. They almost had to throw her out. We go up to the RRB office a lot, so I asked him about that. He wouldn’t go into great detail other than what I mentioned but he did tell me. ” Telling that woman she got nothing was the most satisfying things I’ve done in a long time”! Sorry for long winded story but I love sharing it, it’s one of the few times a man won! That said is even sad.

A couple of years ago in British Columbia (Canada), there was a change in the laws to make divorce settlements actually more reasonable for the man. I know a guy whose wife filed literally hours before the new law came into force.

The best answer that I can come up with is that it’s a guy’s own ego that defeats him. There are still too many guys who think they are better or smarter than the ‘other’ guy. They believe that what happens to everybody else won’t happen to them. They think that they’re smart and that they’ve found the unicorn that they deserve.

Then reality kicks them in the nuts when it’s far too late for them to do anything about it…

You can find out VERY easily in as early as the first date. If she even ASKS “how you feel about marriage”….. tell her you “don’t believe in divorce“.

If she’s not charmed by that response, she’s one of them.

If a woman thinks divorce is acceptable, she’s simply NOT MARRIAGEABLE.

The way I look at it is even if they don’t plan it from the start…who cares…because if/when it ends, they still know they’ll get a better shake from out court system. It doesn’t really matter if someone f~~~s you over after 10 years of planning or 3 months of planning…in the end you still get f~~~ed over. Might as well just refuse to marry and avoid the f~~~ing altogether regardless of how big or small it may be.
