When it comes to US charities, the Combined Federal Campaign is pretty interesting. For those unfamiliar, the CFC is a HUGE push, one time a year, on ALL military bases and federal installations. Charities aren’t usually allowed to bother the military and government employees individually throughout the year, so the CFC is a collection of THOUSANDS of “charities” collected in a booklet/online for folks to donate.

Not to belabor the point, but another note about the CFC in the US.
“AFR stands for Administrative and Fundraising Rate, and it is listed with an organization’s description in CFC materials. The AFR represents the percentage of donation dollars that are spent on administration costs; essentially, the overhead costs of an organization. For example, if a charity has an AFR of 8%, 8 cents of every received dollar covers the administrative overhead costs while the remaining 92 cents goes to services provided by the organization.”

I was one of the first bastards that said that S~~~ was DANK. I made sure that no motherf~~~er gave a penny to this f~~~ing scam. Some gave anyways. I was like. WAIT. How about the DAV? That day, I got the lady from the DAV to come in. And till this day, this is the ONLY BLACK WOMAN I would f~~~ing marry on the spot. No QUESTIONS ASKED. She can take my money.

Not only did she go over the DAV she went into this s~~~ and said how bulls~~~ it was how little the money her own organization uses for vets.

The ONE woman that told the TRUTH. TO bad it was only in print. I could not get her ass to get out of the office long enough since she was the only person actually doing work there.

From then on, that little number at the end became a deal breaker.
