It is not uncommon.
It is not adultery after separation but admitting adultery is the quickest (and cheapest way) to push a divorce through. There has to be a reason stated as the “it just didn’t work out” route requires years of separation.

My ex did commit adultery and I kicked her out but I did not want to rush into a divorce as I was a mess at the time and didn’t know much about the divorce process and wanted to find out.

The ex had previously worked for a divorce lawyer and knew the system inside out.

She said that if I did not file for divorce then she would. She would use “unreasonable behaviour” and “domestic abuse” for which there are many ridiculous things that can be brought up. As you may seen elsewhere (I think I saw it in one of Popp’s videos) – the use of logic can be seen as domestic abuse.

So I filed for divorce citing her adultery (which she legally admitted) and the entire process cost about £1700 in court and solicitor fees ($2000 dollars-ish). If I had not done so, legal costs could have been ten times that.

For uncontested divorces, British courts are basically a tick the box exercise. The papers are reviewed and handled by clerks, not judges. As long as everything is filled in correctly and there are no apparent financial imbalances then everything goes through smoothly and cheaply (relatively speaking).

For contested divorces, with judges and barristers involved the British legal system starts to write its own pay check.

Fault rarely has anything to do with it, it is all about the money post-divorce and what the lower paid person in the marriage is entitled to – it gets very messy very quickly.

I took the quicker and cheaper route and it appears Mgrwmac is doing the same.

Ultimately the ex did me a favour by first committing adultery and then forcing the divorce in the quickest and cheapest way. Now I’m MGTOW and much better off for it.

I’m glad to be here as well. There is so much useful knowledge and so many good insights about women on here. I just wish that I’d discovered it earlier. I’m English as well. I love how Americans are so direct about everything and don’t pull any punches.
