For a man

Will one dither
Her mourn pithy
Or will her scorn wither?

Would one cherish
Her equal in heart
When his dust perish?

Is to one ever more
In sickness and in wealth
When knocking on heavens door?

Did he touch her intimacy
With his self
Did she open her windows for him to see?

Could a man ever be enough
All his peccadillos
Did he shine in the rough?

For her correction is perfection
His affection is infection

And as the boat sails on by
Will she put the coins upon the eye?

Can his equal be so true
As he’s swept along the blue?
