Those without their head’s up their asses already knew this though. Just another Israeli/U.S. operation to destabilize/destroy yet another country who attacked nobody based on lies by supporting/creating/funding/arming terrorists.

Every time I pay a tax my heart breaks a little for those who I know will die because of the money I provide my government…350k in Syria alone.

It breaks my heart to admit this but to be intellectually honest I must agree it is true. The US is supplying ISIS terrorists with weapons and giving them safe staging areas, and a big fat pass on their atrocities. ISIS is the new Arab “proxy” army

As for Israel–sadly they also are on the side opposed to Assad and for a simple “realpolitik” reason. They don’t want to surrender the Golan Heights back to Syria. And the issue is even more simple—control over fresh water.

All I can say is—GO PUTIN! Drop the hammer—end the civil war and wipe out our proxy army.

Erdogan’s got nerves to talk about who made deals with ISIS when they were actually using a corridor to Turkey to funnel illegal sales of monumental amounts of crude oil. Now that their diplomatic relations with Russia seems to benefit them more than going along with some lunatic’s plan for a new Syria he merely repeats what the rest of us have known for quite some time and what President Putin has been saying. There seem to be not one U.S foreign policy but a couple, even a few depending on who you’re talking to.
I’d say the U.S supports whomever happens to facilitate their agenda abroad, whatever it may be from one moment to the next according to what politics and their ego would call for.

Of course we are . Assad (or is it his son , I forget ) “The assassin ” was a member of George Bushes “axis of evil”.

17 guys from Saudi Arabia did 9/11 so we invade Iraq.

Now , I’m sure the Assads, like Saddam, did a lot of bad things, but they kept the greater evil in check.

Syria is just a proxy war against the Russians.

Yes and no. Russia is only interested in Syria to secure its naval base in the tartus. That base is vital for future ship constructions and supply.

This is more of a proxy against the shia crescent or what is known as the iraq-iran-syria-and hezbollah alliance. Iraq is split and in chaos, syria as well, and if syria falls then it will spread to lebanon against hezbollah. Cut off the regimes of those countries and iran loses all influence and Russians the naval base.

Yes, something is wrong with the picture. It seems to take forever for the US (even with the help of other countries) to destroy ISIS. Now why is that?

The answer is simple: they don’t want to destroy them.

    US vs Russian relations.

I’m not a communist, but the US and Britain did invade Russia.

It seems to take forever for the US

Bombing sand is a great way of taking the fight to an enemy. Simple A-10s would eat anything ISIS alive if truly unleashed.

It did not take the Russkies long to make some serious progress. They have decent weapons and training as does the US though not hobbled by incompetents at the helm like the US.

So why???? It’s kind of obvious ISIS is some kind of US/US Client State puppet. The twisted psychopathic minds who fund ISIS astound me. The human blood spilled is on their hands.
