Trying to understand.

I’ve been in some long term relationships, the last one was 18 years, It hurt,However, I still walked out when she started to treat me as the fourth or fifth most important person in her life,girl friends and a bad attitude were more important. This happened a few years after we moved to a city from a very rural environment.  I  have never and do not tolerate much bulls~~~, I think that stems from the work I did and do. I logged for years but mostly I worked heavy industrial construction, and believe me there’s an attitude that goes with that. But I never was violent or abusive, I feel that it is wrong to hurt some one you love, so after trying to discuss it and it doesn’t work out I leave, Last time I saw her she burst into tears, I just kept moving; what I don’t understand is why most men put up with this s~~~; is there an answer to this? And there are a lot of good women out there, just be careful.

Men are conditioned to “put up with this s~~~” through 12+ yr of female authority figures in the accursed henhouses that pass for schools, mothers who wear the pants in the house and treat the husbands like s~~~, and that most men are imbeciles who are easily manipulated by stinky holes.

I do not dispute that “there are a lot of good women out there”. However, there are at least 50 times more bad ones “out there”, and one can only find out whether they are “good” or not after the fact.

what I don’t understand is why most men put up with this s~~~; is there an answer to this? And there are a lot of good women out there, just be careful.

You ask: Why do man put up with this s~~~?  Because we have been programmed from an early age to put up with it.

As you said, once it gets to a certain point, get out.  Or better yet, don’t get in at all.

As for the comment, “there are a lot of good women out there,” that may be true but even good women have been influenced by the system.  Be around them long enough and you see it.

It’s good to meet a fellow traveler. Taking s~~~ from people just makes you a s~~~ heal. People take this s~~~ because they’re stupid.

I have no compassion for morons who could just walk away but blame their situation on everyone else.

I have to agree with the Captain.  Young men are told that they need to “do the right thing…” “settle down”  “grow up” “man up” etc.  They are told that a failed marriage or a failed relationship is THEIR failure, regardless of the situation.  So, being men, they avoid such failure.

No one ever teaches young men the truth about women.  Without the proper information, the young man buys into the myth of the Lady, or Princess.  So the beautiful dream, and the pressure to do the right thing, are all designed to stear the young man towards finding her and marrying her.  He is never told that she can hinder – rather than help – his survival (see male suicide statistics).

Survival is the overriding goal to life.  If you fail at that one, it’s over.

Why do shady dealers use Bait and Switch?  Because it works.  Same thing, except with marriage there are no lemon laws, at least for men.

I’ve been around a long time, I was married once and the same thing happened , she was into script drugs and booze after our 2nd child died the first kid is still doing fine. She had 2 options change or get out, and 6 months to decide she left. I’m not new at this but it seems that true country girls that work a ranch or farm are usually not the type. They are hard to find as most marry young and stay with their man. I’m very careful but since the sixties women have really changed and not for the better. But I’ll keep an eye out now and then, you can usually spot the gold diggers.
